You guys are in denial.  Waverly is a different team on Friday nights and Thursday nights.  Saturday afternoons are for relaxing.  They aren't for playing football.

Dude I’m not even Huntingdon fan and that’s a really lame excuse. It doesn’t matter what day you play on. If you can play you better be ready any day.
I mean not being able to play on Saturdays knocks Waverly  clean out of a championship.

I’m pretty sure they don’t have nothing worry about on championship Saturday. I figure y’all got that Saturday reserved

What a lot of people thought Waverly was pretty good and Huntingdon was down this year. This game didn’t really show either.

That's my point. Waverly has a lot of work to do if they want to make a serious playoff run. I didn't see anything better than a quarterfinal team today. That QB has a nice arm, but it's no good if he has no time to throw it. Huntingdon whooped that O-Line today.

Huntingdon wasnt perfect today by any means either. Still got gouged a bit on the run and made some mental errors. Took bad routes to the ball in the secondary on a few plays. QB spent too much time running backwards on a few plays. Much better performance than against Mckenzie though. Dominated up front on both sides. Defense was in the backfield more often than not. Did a better job holding onto the ball as well. Still need some reps on the snap Exchange.

I believe this game showed that both of these teams aren't exactly what a lot of people thought they were...

May be right. No doubt Huntingdon is in rebuild mode but heart and playing hard means a lot. Like I said in my first post, personally, I’m just looking for improvement each week from these guys that’s had to wait their turn and the younger ones. They did that this week.

Best of luck to Waverly the rest of the season. They showed that their offense can put up points. There were lots of early drops that would have made this game a lot more interesting.

That is a really dumb statement. If they are ready to play on Thursday and Friday but not on Saturday you can put that on the coach. Does he not know how to motivate people on Saturdays. Good thing he don’t coach in college Lol

I don't think so. McKenzie is much better than Waverly. Rebels lot stronger up the gut.

Well just looking at the game. McKenzie did fumble the ball a tad bit in that game. I think Huntingdon would capitalized on it.

either way, Huntingdon looked much better today

Honestly I don’t see us losing. Fairview may give us a run for our money. And maybe Westview. This is the best Tiger Team I’ve seen us have since 2016. And I’d say 2016 was probably the best team I’ve seen in my lifetime. Just my opinion. What do I know.

Hate you guys are down, best of luck to y’all. Maybe we will actually play tomorrow

:bored:

    • RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.
    • I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"
    • TSSAA will let them all go to Mase.
    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
