Oh, without a doubt it will be closer than most folks think. I am glad that the weather looks promising! 

As was mentioned previously, last year was close until the 4th quarter. A closer game was played in 2016(none of these kids were on the field then) and final score was 25-21 @ Tyner.

I'm betting Region 3 has three teams that are of near same talent level.  Bledsoe Tyner Marion. In no particular order. This region should have some great season games this year

I agree with you, Bledsoe had a pretty good team last year, and played Tyner close for a while, but IMO Bledsoes best play maker graduated. I think Tyner by 14.

Well, I've seen some strange things happen on the opponents home field (not saying it will happen here or making any excuse) but our guys have to focus and not get ''caught-up" in the hype!! You know how these youngsters are! And with the expected crowd, "momentum" can swing in an eye blink.

Thanks.  I'm still looking around for a game to attend maybe.  We were only give an allotment of 150 tickets for the Lookout Valley game and with a 68 man roster, well, the parents got those pretty much.  I think there will be about 14 tickets for some to fight over.

I believe you meant to include Tyner didn't you? If so, I know you can agree with me and say that because we are the 3-time Defending Region 3 Champion, we will get every teams best game. (Meigs faces the same challenges) After 14 straight, every game ( and year) is different. The good thing is, they know what it will take to win. Coach Turner and his Assistants will have them ready!

Your right I did mean to include them lol sorry. At work and rushed today. I edited the original thread.

      Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!

      I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
