Schools like Cumberland Gap just dont have football as a higher priority like some of the more competitive schools. At least that's what I think is the difference. Having good coaches down the ranks, having a driven community and kids is alot of it too. Once you get kids use to winning your program can really succeed as long as they are buying what the coaches are selling. Least that's what I think.

They definitely could be much better.

Marion was dominant back when I first started watching my kids play. Fitz got us turned around after a few years and weve done really well since.

Yeah the reason for the 1st public and Private split was all about this. BA with very small #s were dominating schools with 2000 kids.

Region 2 was GCA. Period. Went and watched them play you guys in the playoffs. Was pulling for you in a big way .Left disappointed.lol

Eligibility rules are the same in Carter Co as they are in Meigs Co. I've been to Roane Mtn. Really hoping to go there the Friday before Thanksgiving this year.

We have our Meigs in Carter Co, Its called Elizabethton. They actually have a kid from Hampton who will more than likely win Mr Football in 4a.
