Week 11 -- Alcoa at D-B (Rivalry Thursday)

Less said the better, I guess.  Looking forward to seeing Alcoa in person finally... not looking forward to the potential result of the contest though.

DB folks have always been a class act with us Alcoa fans.  I hope we have shown the same respect towards y'all.  It should be a "slobberknocker" as always.  Looking forward to seeing us go at it on Thursday.  I like the tradition and passion you have for high school football.  Let's get at it!

I'd love to see my old friends from Alcoa but the perfect storm besides the F5 has my schedule as a no show.I hope I can atleast catch part on tv or rewatch it later.That Alcoa defense is something special and the only positive for DB's defense if you can say that is Alcoa runs more then they throw.Atleast it looked that way when I watched them last.They may cook something up special however.

Pulling for the Indians, but it might not be that great of game. On the other what an opportunists situation for the young men and coaches to step up and prove most people wrong. I’m pulling for second scenario.

DB needs to forget the SH game. They should view this as the start of the playoffs.  Hats off to DB for scheduling this game.  I give the edge to Alcoa, but this should be a great game! A lose by either team, doesn’t really impact their playoff seeding.  Just play wide open, have fun and don’t get anybody hurt.

I agree somewhat. But it does factor in to DBs playoff seeding. Reason being, If Science Hill wins against Bearden and we lose this game then we will each have 8 wins (Playoff tiebreakers go from Head to head matchups then to Total victories). In region, Farragut Science Hill and DB all have 1 loss, so it goes to total victories. That knocks Farragut out. Then It goes back to head to head which gives Science hill the #1 seed. So Science Hill wins wins the region with a win and DB loss
