I have never been a fan of 4 teams in the same region going to the playoff's, but hey, TSSAA has to try and get every penny.  Nothing against JB at all, but they shouldn't be coming over here to play a game that is more than likely will get ugly. Hopefully no one get's hurt and sure hope safe travel's for our friend's from JB.

Tennessee needs to cut back to 4 public classes in football. That would improve things.

Roy didn’t need to create a website for this game because there’s nothing to talk about.  Jo Byrns is bad once again this year.  We’re back to being a perennial playoff bottom feeder.  It’s frustrating but it’s part of being a 1A school...unless you’re South Pittsburgh.

Our freshman class is the best we’ve had in probably 10 years but will it be good enough to compete for a championship in a few years, I don’t know.  We will start quite a few freshmen and sophomores in this one and the score will reflect it.

Yeah it’s been since 2010 we met at the championship game.  I understand the long drive for a lopsided game.  It seems a lot of teams are playing a lot of freshman and sophomores this year.  Because we have so many players people don’t realize we have a lot of freshman and sophomores too.  We have around 19 Sophomores and 18 Freshman.  A couple sophomores including standout J. Mount start or are in the mix.  We have 3 EXTREMELY talented freshman backs, and a freshman QB who is a standout baseball player.

2 big time names to watch out of that freshman group for next year: Cash Kelly and Kamden Wellington.

If you want to play schools with bigger enrollment then by all means step up to 3AAA or 4AAAA then maybe you can have some competition,, but for us smaller schools that don't have the numbers to choose from it makes it quit difficult for us to compete against school  with higher enrollments , We here at Moore Co. have  a total of around 5500 people in the entire county where South Pitt has around 28,000 in population in there county. It makes quit a big difference in being able to field a strong team Year in and year out..

That is true but both schools have about the same enrollment.

What your saying about enrollment is true about the same numbers, But the main difference is the county wide numbers you have 28000 compared to 5500  to field a team from.

Not really.  We have 4 high schools in that 28,000 so if you divide that evenly it’s only 7,000...so not much difference.  Most of them are in Jasper which is why they are 2A.

You forget a 2 major detaila.  SP is NOT 28,000 people. Second, there are 3 high schools in Marion County and SP is the smallest.  That doesn't even take into account Richard Hardy.

SP's bus zone probably doesn't even have 5500 people even if you add up SP, New Hope, Monteagle, Orme, etc.
