the ball was loose 5 seconds before Gio busted out for his gallop. Good call Ref. Gio got it off top of the RBs head.

I thought they should have blown it dead when watching it live. But when I saw the highlights on the news after the game, it wasn't even close to being forward progress stopped. The Coalfield player was still moving one way and the ball just happened to be moving the other. It was a good call.

Old Pirate says the Pirates will dominate beginning from the start. Ifin yous wondering, the last home game will be the ignition switch to start early and finish strong! Afterall, Ifin theys don’t and lose, their season will be over! YepReconSo

Complete Domination,  Old Pirate jest thought the fact the Pirates were recognizing this their last home game would be fully awake from the 1st whistle. Congratulations to the whole Pirate team fer answering the bell.  The game was a hint of how tough the Pirates could be Ifin theys got their head right. Still too many skillet head mistakes that need addressing. Today it’s time to git totally focused on Fayetteville. This bunch is well balanced and will challenge the Pirates. The Pirates have to flip the switch early to show dominance and continue to bring the Earholing throughout. After all, no reason to hold anything back. OP prediction is simple, Pirate play to potential, they’ll be a fan, city welcoming of gold with envious kinfolkes looking fer their Rose Colored Glasses! YepReconSo

This game was like Manning in the Super Bowl against Seattle, it was over when the ball sailed by his head and you could see it in his eyes.  This one was over on the fumble on the up the middle out of the T.  Never regained their composure which is bad bad news out of a team that live by The T.  That said, they had to dance with the one that brung them to the dance.

Yep I agree with both you and @team69.  I thought it should have been blown dead so I watched it back on coalfield’s video group and still thought it should have been blown dead.  But after watching the TV news highlights it was clear that the handoff from the QB to the RB wasn’t successful and the ball was rolling across the RB’s back.  The QB and Gio both reached for it and Gio pulled it away and ran for the defensive TD.  Refs made the right call and obviously seen it was a fumble all the way.

    • Well personally I see us going 9-1 so that isn't doom and gloom to me , Most people are thinking 6-4. Bearden will be the possible loss but hoping not. I was very impressed with what I saw this spring.
    • the kid you are speaking about, played in JV games,  2H half Science Hill game, split time in Hardin Valley and Bearden and that was it.   The upcoming Senior RB was All Region as a Junior and is regarded by the media as one of the top running backs in East TN for 2024 season. Scouting services have him as a top 10 back in the state.  Something aint adding up with gloom and doom. Maybe he was hurt and not at spring practice when you watched?
    • It won't be long now, he gone.
    • Are you kidding me?  You are just trolling now.  The new head coach's qualifications would be volunteer coach at the Oak Ridge Boys Club?  C'mon man, you can't be serious.  You're trolling us.  Anybody working at Clinton High School has to be like a cat in a room full of rocking chairs at this point.  They are coming after anybody and everybody that had knowledge of what was going on.  This is about to get real ugly.  Only in Clinton.
    • So no way they can compete with the likes of McCallie or Baylor still then
