Yes they did. Getting back to the actual game, no dog in this, but if you struggled that much with DB at home, you’re not going to be able to do much with Oakland on the road. I see a result similar to two years ago.

DB is a way better team than most people seem to think, other than their defensive secondary they were solid at all positions.   They only lost to Science Hill because SH lives rent-free in their heads over the last few years, and they lost to Alcoa because nearly everyone loses to Alcoa.    In the 2nd half Maryville stopped throwing it all over the field and settled down into a run game, but if they had to pass they could have easily scored over and over on DB's defense.     I have no idea what Oakland has this year but I can't see Maryville being a pushover by any means....  I guess we find out tomorrow

You are most certainly right That DB is a better team than given credit. I couldn't think of a better team to have played before going to Oakland. As a Maryville fan and nothing against McMinn but I'm glad we got a chance to play DB which will more prepare us for the next game. That was the first game this year I've seen the defense get pushed back like they did even though they must of played 80% of the ballgame but things like that help us in the end. My biggest fear against Oakland is just how well their line is which is very hard to tell until we play. To me on film they look like a college team up front but we'll not know until we lock horns tonight. Some say Maryville is down this year but it's very hard to reload when you lose 17 starters from the year before. This team plays on pure guts and somehow finds a way to win and they don't give up. They proved that against Alcoa, the first Bradley game, McMinn and last week against DB.

    • The amount of people pooing on UH is crazy. They're a noticably better team than last year when they made state and were competitive , AND they run ruled Eagleville a few weeks ago. Now I understand Eagleville was missing a few guys, but they still. They. Run. Ruled. Eagleville. 1st single A team to run rule Eagleville since when? Pre 2017??
    • If that Yellow Paint is all gone I'll flat bet it didn't wash off there. I bet that took some scrubbing to remove that if it is gone. Lacrosse is one of those northern sports all these misplaced Yankee's that are posion to the community brought in by  (Blount Partnership, ( The Devil) with them so somebody allowed them to paint their markings on the field that cost more than the twenty top people on payroll at Maryville make a year. All this to please the 1% Club and the 25 people that would come to see it. All in the name of WOKE!!!!!!
    • They will probably, struggle
    • Dyersburg is going to be good, really good. As mentioned, they have a lot of talent on the way and the trio of Chelby, Joya, and KayKay will only be better with a full season together under their belt. To me, playing in Murfreesboro two consecutive postseasons will only serve to make them more dangerous if/when they stand among the final eight teams this March. Experience, good or bad, always makes you better. And not only do they have experience, they know how to win there. Schedules are coming together for all of the teams and I am excited about what I am seeing on the preliminary drafts on Dyersburg’s schedule. I know I am being a tease, but it’s simply not my place to announce what another school is doing. With that said, I won’t go into specifics. However, I am excited about renewed home and away contracts for the non-district portion of the calendar. I think west Tennessee will have a lot of interest as well.
    • What does everyone have in the final 8? In no particular order. 1. Eagleville 2. Gordonsville 3. Greenback 4. Oakdale 5. South Pitt/ East Robertson-- not sure 6. Richland 7. Halls 8. Union City
