What about Alcoa and Oakland- Or Alcoa and one of the big Private schools or better yet do like Brentwood Academy used to do.  Go out of state and play a powerhouse.

They play Maryville is that not a good enough team? I’m just curious. I got on here the other day and started reading the comments and it’s ridiculous at some of the stuff that’s posted on here. Trenton has owned 2A the past three years but the Tide would be LUCKY to score on Alcoa. Night and Day when you step to that level. Come on man don’t be that guy.

You Tide Fans Sound Like Some Certified Haters

Saying someone isnt good when they are is hating. Claiming you are the best while playing against teams you know can’t win because you get ten transfers a year is hilarious. Any coach or team could win with the transfers they get yearly. They started one qb last year then had 2 transfer in. One of the transfers started then the other became eligible and finished the season with him. What other public school do you know that could do this ?

I have a solution for all of this. The schools they try to schedule just refuse to play them. This goes for the region games too. If they refused to play them they would have no games. What do they do then ?   Before you say this couldn’t happen it can. It happened in another state to a private school. They had to schedule nationally just to play. I don’t think Alcoa has  the money for that to happen.

Funny cause it's true, won't give the old timers name but let's just say he manages about 45 air bnb locations and that's the stopping point while the homes are found, simply sad ! But yet Milan was racked over the coals for the Ant Brown transfer, why isn't the same Tenacity applied on the The T to the Pro team Alcoa ? I guess as a society we just accept it from some and not others? Sad Sad Sad.

Alcoa be waiting you call Monday!:thumb:

Schedule is already full. Peabody posters never said we wanted to play Alcoa. All that was said was because we played milan similar that we thought we would get 7 points in a game. Never even said we would be competitive. Besides we don’t have to make a name for ourselves y’all’s way. Peabody is doing it on their own. Maybe we can reach a milestone like Alcoa’s someday but for now we are just happy for the recent success we have seen in our program. 100 years of football and 4 championships in the last 7 years is a big accomplishment for us. No need to go fight the giants of Tennessee.

Well said, all you can ask to be is competitive against a solid team. Hopefully we can have just have half the accomplishments they have enjoyed over the years.

    • Deja vu all over again, 7 yrs apart. SMDH Does anybody talk to each other?
    • OK, well, that’s because two quarterbacks can’t start. That’s football 101. The main quarterback won the starting job, so he was on varsity, and the Seymour transfer did not win the starting job. He played some varsity. He was mainly junior varsity, and he balled out when healthy, so for the starting quarterback who’s been starting varsity since his freshman year, if you have any form of proof that he’s gotten worse, somehow, whether that means stats or whatnot, please feel free to share.
    • They’ve both gotten worse. I’ve seen enough games to know that.
    • The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.
    • I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
