There is no way they allow the general public in for the duals. The gyms are not big enough to hold that kind of crowd. I think they give each school a certain number of tickets and that’s it. Nothing

Personally if i were to seed it, it would look something like this..

1 Cleveland vs 8 Collierville

4 Summit vs 5 Science Hill

3 Bradley vs 6 Dobyns

2 Wilson vs 7 Oakland

Yep. I was asking who would you seed 1-8! This looks like how I’d seed them as well. If Heritage was able to be in this tourney, I’d have them at five.

i’d agree with that. sad that they have to sit at home because of being lined up with Cleveland and Bradley

I know Pigeon Forge, Fairview, and Signal Mountain have qualified. i’m not sure who the 4th team is. Pigeon Forge and Fairview seem to be the class of A/AA. Both have looked awesome all year.

PF has lost to both Bradley and Heritage. Based on these two results (two of the top 5 AAA dual teams), I’m not sure they would have placed. Fairview beat Summit but lost to Oakland, so they could have made some noise depending on the match-ups. Signal Mountain did not wrestle any AAA teams, other than Cleveland, so I am not sure how much noise they could have made.

Top 5 dual teams? Bradley for sure is a top 5 team, but I wouldn't put Heritage there since they didn't even win their region. Bradley Central however had a tough late season match against a full Pigeon Forge squad who would definitely make some noise regardless of class.

      RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.

      I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"

      Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
