So your saying they are going to be in some form of Power I, Wing I, basically an I Formations coming downhill(Dive, Power, Toss, Counter) type stuff.  Cant see the benefit of running east and west with kids the sizes you mentioned but if they still have that fast kid that sometimes played QB/RB then I could see them running some midline/Veer type stuff.  Be interesting to see how it shakes out, I thought they did a decent job of getting outside last year, looks like they going to pound a little more inside this year.

Taye is a senior this year along with reiley those two are our fastest players. Taye will probably be the quarterback. Pound the middle and the outside will open up hope so

Hear say, they are going heavy with the power I this year.

Yep it’s gotta be #9.  A backside hit or a hit under the chin will definitely have you coming out for a play or two lol.  Maybe that’s the plan.  Disrupt a teams passing ability.

That would be my plan if I was using someone his size at that position.

Yes it #9 boys call him Big Show

I really only watched him individually on one play, but he definitely took a small framed rb out of the game with a hard luck. He is a presence for sure.

I have never cared for the Power I personally but Dalton sure made it look good a couple years ago with that kid that's at Georgia Tech that started as a freshman.  And if yall can get the off tackle power going I could see with yalls backs speed could be a good base play for ya.

Going to be some misdirection in that form too. Just don’t know how much

I’ve always been a fan of the power I or wishbone.  Something with a few extra blockers never hurts.

I liked the way John Majors ran it and Fulmer basically ran his system.

Yep me too.  I like the old school power, but I also believe a team shouldn’t be so one dimensional.  I believe in multiple formations whether power or spread, but using them methodically one first Down at a time.  If we score, then great.  I would wear down my opponent and keep them off balance.

For awhile Marion didn’t have the players to run the veer and I think now they do. But that’s my opinion go from power I to the veer

This works!!I LOVE the power game but Coach Ryan puts both to work and has proven the spread and power together is the way to go unless you are just too much for the other team in the run game and have a Defense to match.(Union City of old,Alcoa so on and so forth!)What he did this past year with all the mess we went thru with Covid, losing one of the single best players in 1A during the heat or our "Pandemic" struggles and trying multiple offensive and defensive strategies to overcome our player losses each week.At the end of the season we were one game away from being a "good" team.Considering the games we missed all year I was quiet happy with our team and its future.Alot of the times we had 9 Freshman on the field and was playing good ball---Considering.lol
