This Topic deserves it’s own thread.  Old Pirate says SP should and obviously is drawing attention from all around. Vic Grider’s second retirement from his alma mater is opening the door to a quality program. The local discussions regarding the next coach can be heard almost anywhere you go! Old Pirates everywhere are expecting this spot to be quickly filled with a committed coach.  Snake Oil Salesmans need not apply.

The most important thing for me is a coach that will do right by the kids in our community through thick and thin, from birth until death, whether they decide to play sports or not.

If MW applied I would  hire him on the spot. The fact that he has rings in a certain states largest class speaks for itself. And no I would not be the least bit worried about the incident when he was as an assistant at Tech back in the day.

The former Pirate and Canadian Grey Cup winner coach Chris Jones officially applied according to sources.  Dad Burnit, Old Pirate is down right impressed. Now as fer additional names OP ain’t privy, cept Brad Waggoner. Fellers round the liars table hinted of other interested combatants but no confirmation of application.

There will be a lot of people apply just to see what the job will offer.  But how serious many of them are is the question.

No doubt and with his track record he would deserve more money. If I was SP I would open up the check book and get it done without hesitation.
