WEEK 2: Powell @ Maryville

Punted it back to Maryville at their 30 with about 40 seconds left. Rebels hit a crossing route with about 20 seconds to go, and Redmond shoved the guy while he was 5 yards OB. Just plain stupid. QB scored on a keeper on the next play with 9 seconds left. Maryville was looking like they might get a FG, but that dumb penalty put a TD in range, and they cashed it in.

Powell has played a pretty clean half, with the exception of Redmond's two bone-headed flags. One led to a short field on a kickoff return (after his long TD catch), the other led to Maryville's TD at the end of the half.

First one should have been a no call. He was faced away from the defender looking at his own sideline. Not a necessary flag. 

The second one was just absolutely stupid.  Part of why his college prospect stock is dropping.

random observation--Holy (bleep) just saw a shot of the crowd at this game....incredible....well done to both teams.  Have to assume by all the banners hanging in the end zone game is at Maryville.  So great to see such a scene like that in Tennessee...

Looks like Powell has no answer for Maryville. Maryville running down hill. May be a long 4th for Powell

No he’s a junior but 28 is a sophomore
