Our defense has tried hard but just way overmatched.  We made a decent showing on offense, more than I thought.  Oakland backups are studs also.

Polk was wearing those old red and black jerseys that game and were in our backfield.  It was like those flying monkeys in the wizard of oz and our backs were the scare crow.  That was a good team Polk whipped that night.

I remember our tight end getting hit across the middle that I felt in the stands. But that game helped us tremendously.

I am proud of SP they played tough. With 4-5 starters coming back SP will challenge Gordy and Clay in playoffs for a chance to play Coalfield. Davis and Huntley at DT are about to be tough for opposing offenses in single A.

Mercy rule.  Oakland could have scored as many as they wanted.

It doesn't matter how many we had out. Oakland is as advertised.  We played well and maybe with a few starters in, it could have been maybe a small difference.
