1A and 2A FAVORITES FOR THE CHOO CHOO BOWL

My favorite to win 1A is Fayetteville. I do believe they will host the playoffs throughout November.  All four Fayetteville's non-region opponents made the playoffs. That does include Upperman, who is a #1 seed in Class 4A with a 9-1 record. The winner of Fayetteville/McKenzie will represent the West in Chattanooga, which (if they were to play today), I'm leaning with the Tigers. Peabody does have the easier path of the three.

In 2A, the favorite is Westview. But MAHS have the athletes to compete with the Chargers, they are my dark horse threat. MAHS didn't allow a single point in October, I do expect that to continue against Camden. Again, Westview is my favorite, but if they meet up with MAHS, the Lions can throw them fits.

Guy who criticizes people not making bold pics then picks Fayetteville and Westview lmao

I haven’t watched them in person. They are a great team. They have a tendency to have lots of penalties. I watched them play south Pitt last year and I’ve watched the cornersville and upperman game this year. They struggled with upperman honestly I think upperman schedule is weak. It was evident that upperman had no speed and I didn’t really see any reason Fayetteville should of struggled but they did. The only thing I saw was uppermans  lines were big. Cornersville straight up ran them over up the gut. Fayetteville is good but the cornersville game has me thinking I don’t know if they can beat mckenzie

Peabody is going to be fine against Fayetteville… I don’t know how much the 3+ hour Drive is going to effect Peabody. For that, I’m taking Fayetteville (only reason why). I do believe that McKenzie does match up Peabody well. I’m sure that’s not a shocker to you.

Peabody won’t play both. It will be either or

I don’t think Huntington makes it out of the second round against MAHS that only has one loss against a decent 5A team in Brighton. They have the first ranked run defense in 2A along with a Tennessee commit at WR/S

They will beat them and beat them bad.

I hope they make it to the semis so we get another shot at them after playing our worst game of the season against them but I just don’t think they make it that far

The only reason I say they beat them bad is because no team out of Memphis or coaches see an offense like theirs. In 2018 Union city went down to memphis and beat fairley and was severely out gunned. The Memphis teams have a real hard time defending power run offenses

When the Memphis teams see Huntingdon trot out with their small backs and unimpressive size they will be excited. Don’t look too impressive in warm ups. Then they attack you like you didn’t expect it and hit as hard as any team in 2a. That is unexpected. This Huntingdon team does what it does very well and has improved every game as the year has gone on.

I thought Meigs had the first ranked defense in 2A?

    • One school has said it, it was York…who Oneida and many school that played them before we did claimed that they were the dirtiest bunch they’ve played. Riverside didn’t call us dirty nor did smith after they beat us. Ur only dirty if your the one giving out the whoopins.
    • If it was anyone but #8 I would agree with you. Theirs a couple people on that team that probably would. Not him. And I who was standing on the 1st base line fence saw clearly that the boys foot was covering more than half the bag.
    • If y’all lose to Farragut something awful has happened.
    • Get him to Bearden ASAP! Or anywhere, Karns hs is in rough shape, probably not getting out of it anytime soon.
    • I'm not a Powell grad.  I am a Bearden grad.   My son and daughter are Powell grads.   I did radio play by play for Powell, my last year was 2013. I also did radio play by play for South Doyle, and my last gig was at Maryville before I retired.   My oldest grandson plays in the Karns Middle program, so I see more Karns games than I do Powell these days.  I've been to 3 Powell games since 2013.   I don't have any ties to Powell, haven't since 2013.   No "y'all" there.    And the kid you are talking about does have a very good arm, but he's not the QB that Deuce Rogers is.  Rogers is a legit dual threat guy.  The younger kid now at Clinton, or about to be at Clinton, isn't the dual threat that Rogers is.
