Any word on this?  Surprised to not hear any thing and that there is not more conversation about it.

IMO, the Board of Trust at The Baylor School must make a serious decision as to how they wish to proceed with the football program.  They really have 3 choices:

1.  Decide to throw all of the resources available to them at the football program and compete for not only a state championship but a national ranking every season.  This would require going out and recruiting the Southeast for the very best football players.

2.  Do absolutely nothing and continue to get beat by the better D2 teams

3.  Use a combination of the two previously mentioned ideas.  They could go and get just enough athletes every year that when combined with the athletes already on campus the team would be good but not great.

This seems to be working for them in baseball.

Very Ture!  If The Baylor School or The McCallie ever make the decision that they want to have nationally ranked teams in all sports the other schools will be playing for second place.  Being boarding schools they both have more than enough financial resources to flex their athletic muscle if they so desire.

The administration has been holding the football team back for years. They will get 2 linemen, when they need to get 5. They'll get 2 top level athletes when 4 would be game changing. Sometimes, they'd pull a border and play a legacy kid over the border, when they were brought in to play. They have the resources, but the admin has turned in to a bunch of flaming libtards that would rather promote the arts, than worry about paying the bills with the revenue sport. When the new headmaster came in, I think he's got the attention of the big money people and will change the philosophy.

Massey didn't forget how to coach, and although some of the crap they called drove me nuts, he was trying to manage a game with what he had (talent-wise)  trying to keep it close to have a chance at the end of a game.

Bottom line, when you get beat by your biggest rival 6 years in a row, you'll be looking for a new job, that's the nature of the business. And everyone knows it.
