All schools are practicing basketball they can call it conditioning but it’s no different than practices in November. That is why we see fewer multi sport athletics coaches want kids to only play their sport

it is a shame these coaches cannot follow the rules and the administrators know it is happening and turn their head

TSSAA rules are a bit over the top if you ask me. In the past. there was summer dead period and then a no practice period once schools starts. What's the point?

tell that to the other sports who follow the rules.  in just the past two weeks multiple injuries coming from one school in this area I live all because the new coach wants to practice in the mornings is it worth it

I watched an interesting video this morning, looks like our new coach is still playing by the college rules. Full blown practice and a good player got hurt smh. I guarantee you this video makes its way to TSSAA, I guess a few of the girls are mad about early morning practices and have filmed a few lol. #SEPTEMBERPRACTICE #CHRISTIANVALUES

our girls in franklin county have said all all year they have been practicing illegally.  but not surprisingly they would do that over there and with that coach

    • While I appreciate being credited with multiple accounts, I have to say that is not true. Will you please report back to your people that I am not someone who provides sharp, witty banter, but rather someone who is putting the shoe on the other foot for some people that have been repeatedly bashing others here and in real life for the past few years? Everything that I have stated has been backed by factual evidence or public record, so no need to be sharp and witty.
    • Yes this process is moving slower than I would have expected
    • also was told coady auston applied, he served as defensive coordinator for greenfield under don pitt several years ago before going to Obion county
    • TSSAA restrictions for hiring non-faculty coaches have been removed for over a year at this point. In the past a non-faculty person had to be "grandfathered" by being an assistant coach for five years, being fingerprinted, and having a background check run per TSSAA rules... since those were rescinded, the board of directors for the school district are responsible for any/all restrictions on hiring non-faculty personnel. I guess what I'm saying to you is that if you really wanted what you posted, it's already possible as long as your local BOE will allow for it.
    • stop it, rlh. you’re gonna get me all misty eyed and sentimental.    i see seven fairly regularly. ….but slim shady, that’s like spotting bigfoot on main street. you just hope he doesn’t spot you.
