Alcoa at Rhea County

This one will probably get ugly in a hurry.  From what I have heard from the scrimmages that Rhea has played, our lines are very young and have played like it.  We have seasoned skill position players, but their success rides on the line.  I'm sure Alcoa is as strong as ever...  Tell me about them, with the new coach.

Nix has coached there for years. Won’t be any fall off from the HC transition IMO.

I'm assuming this is an inside joke?   What does it mean?

No inside joke.  Under Rankin, Alcoa never really threw the ball over the middle.

It was Run it down your throat or a nice go route to one of their many athletic WR on the outside.  Most people feel like Nix will open up the playbook and there won’t be a drop off at all on D since that has been Nix’s baby for over a decade now

Yep. Have to believe that OC David Sweetland will have a full playbook to work with under Nix and won't get overruled nearly as often as he did in past years.

ADS1, I think you are right. I hate to say it but it may get ugly quick. The O-line is young and inexperienced going against one of the best defensive coaches in East Tennessee and the Eagle defense is also young and inexperienced all that with all of Alcoa’s horses could spell big trouble for Rhea.
Martin would have to have a BIG night for the Eagles to even stay in this one. I really hope I am wrong….. Anyway GO EAGLES!!!

Yeah best thing for Rhea is don’t get anyone hurt. Probably the most important game outside the playoffs is in 2 weeks with McMinn. I know we are going to show up Friday but this game really doesn’t have a whole lot of meaning. Run the ball, run the clock and get ready for McMinn.

I am looking forward to seeing the new unis and the upgrades to the stadium in person. Seen pictures and it looks like they have done a great job.

    • You are so correct!  It’s really 99.9% of academia want to change to way that education is not only taught but the way it is viewed.  The pendulum has definitely swung as far to the left as possible and eventually will swing to the right much too far.  I have always  said that politics and one’s personal religious views need to stay out of education,  but for the last 40 years education has been running full throttle to what we have today.  If the social experiment that we are currently experiencing continues it is only a matter of time before the public school system in the USA completely collapses and all kids attend private schools or even worse don’t go to school.
    • He was a bruise but Aaron Dykes is HVA’s best RB ever.
    • I am talking about what they both did for their team. They both carried their team for four years while they were both there. I wasn’t really comparing them that would be unfair. Bishop is on a level of his own.
    • Dorian Eskridge had a great Junior year, highlighted by a great game to lead HVA to an upset win at OR that year. I think that was 2010. In 2011 OR won at HVA. OR had a real good QB that year l think. Dorian Eskridge had a great senior year also. He always played hard from the DCM videos l saw.
