Week 7 Henry Co vs Springfield

I'm an obvious Henry County homer who has a tendency to take this game for granted. We've had a lot of success against Springfield over the years. Even losing the region title to them last year ended up not meaning much in the end (see: 3rd round).

HOWEVER, none of that stuff matters anymore. This Springfield team has been thoroughly impressive. They haven't faced the toughest competition, but they have absolutely obliterated teams in ways they haven't normally done in the past, and they've been doing it week in and week out.

I would go so far to say, IF I was an unbiased observer, even after taking into account HC's comparatively harder schedule to date, I would STILL probably have Springfield as a slight favorite this week.

I’m more so impressed with them defensively, if I had to pick a weak point of the two, their offense would be a notch down.

We are weak this year, very very weak. We appreciate just being in the conversation

I know it’s hard to get any small dose of criticism from 3rd party lol every team has its weaknesses. Either way, all I’m saying is the defense seems to be more impressive than the offense. Even with the Qb’s mom begging for him to get more attention on Twitter for Mr. 5a lolll

I like Springfield in this one honestly. Yeah Henry has had a tougher schedule, but Springfield has boat raced everybody they have played, and their one common opponent (Kenwood), Springfield had a more impressive outcome.

Buddy I use to be a big fan of comparing scores for a prediction on games…. This year that has went out the window. Too many puzzling results.

    • there will be a couple of teams, that could make some noise
    • Dyersburg may win back to back to back championships. They are going to be hands down the best 3A team. Plus their District/region/sectionals are not very good. They basically just have to make it to region out of a 5 team district that has a few decent teams. South Gibson will be okay but they graduate their best player and there is nobody in the region 7 or region 8 who is going to compete with them.
    • I remember very well watching things change in the late 80's and yes it's all schools. Most people that are in charge today have any idea because they were raised and taught under this social experiment so they don't have a clue. Anyone that does see the truth for what it is usually try and hide it by blending in so that the School Gestapo doesn't round them up and take them to the Fuhrer ( kindly putting it ). Yes it is all schools not just Maryville. This train ride is not headed in a good direction and if the public had seen a movie of what's happening now back in 1980 everyone would have been headed home afterwards to change underware.
    • Hoping to make the playoffs.
    • You are so correct!  It’s really 99.9% of academia want to change to way that education is not only taught but the way it is viewed.  The pendulum has definitely swung as far to the left as possible and eventually will swing to the right much too far.  I have always  said that politics and one’s personal religious views need to stay out of education,  but for the last 40 years education has been running full throttle to what we have today.  If the social experiment that we are currently experiencing continues it is only a matter of time before the public school system in the USA completely collapses and all kids attend private schools or even worse don’t go to school.
