Styles make fights and this will be a fight. Moore co will have a heck of a game plan much similar to how they played City. Best team Mckenzie will have faced since early on this season. Lot of people will disagree but Moore co will have the best player on the field friday night Mckenzie must figure out a way to handle him or this game gets spooky. Gonna be a heck of game tough to pick...been impressed with the Moore co all year but think they are still wet behind the ears and Mckenzie escapes in the 4th with having the experience of these moments. Mckenzie on to round 3 to welcome Fayetteville to town.

This one might end up being the game of the week. Moore County could give McKenzie fits if MC offense gets going. Both teams offensively can get it done. McKenzie’s Defense in the end is the difference though. Rebels survive and advance. McKenzie by 3. I’m just keeping it real

Layoff the paint Tyrone

Definitely hearing some bias from you middle TN Hosers. “Moore County is much improved, Fayetteville’s new scheme has them head and shoulders above everyone else”.  Do you not think McKenzie had the opportunity to improve as well??  Moore Co scored 12 against the Rebels last year. Fayetteville scored 8.  Pump the brakes on your expectations because the west still goes through McKenzie.

Pretty sure there were a lot of McKenzie posters saying the same about us earlier this season, refusing to think other teams could also improve from last year. Don't get me wrong, I think McKenzie is going to handle business with Moore Co, and when Fayetteville comes on Nov 18 they're going to be facing off against a fully dialed in 12-0 McKenzie still feeling the bruises from their State loss last year, but I think a 12-0 Fayetteville hungry for revenge is good enough to give them more than just a run for their money.

And before you start talking about Fayetteville only scoring 8 last year, they held McKenzie to 14 (the least they scored all season), effectively shut down their stud RB, and gave them their closest game tied with Peabody.

So if my math is correct 14>8

I don’t think it was the McKenzie posters. It was the rest of us.

This time of year, anyone can beat anyone on any given Friday night.  I know McKenzie has more than just Taylor and Cassidy on offense.  I know our defense is pretty good.  I believe this is going to be a really good football game come Friday night. Honestly, if you haven't been to see the other team, you just going off of what the hometown folks say.

Has anyone seen McKenzie play live, and also seen Moore County play live?

Yeah I have not heard McKenzie posters say much of anything other than if they play Fayetteville it is going to be one heck of a game.

I think it’ll be a 48-21 type of game with mckenzie coming out on top

    • If he wanted to play QB he should have either went to Heritage or William Blount and had a real good chance there. In stead he'll be exactly what he was going to be at Maryville. They already know who their QB is going to be in 2025 and it ain't going to be him.
    • Easier said than done. The man who ran for 250+ yards and 3TDs is gonna be back….and a lot bigger.
    • plus it removes the pressure around winning.
    • You are correct.   The teacher's pay scale is virtually the same in Knox County, now, as it is at Oak Ridge.   The coaching supplements are still higher at Oak Ridge, from what I was told, but not a huge difference.   Plus, Rusty is going from a position coach to an OC position, which is what he was at South Doyle and where his comfort zone is.  And from a special education teaching slot to a PE teaching slot.  There is a lot of positivity in that move without even considering the coaching aspect.   Anybody who sees something negative here is just looking for negativity to begin with.  But some live in that world.   Really good hire for Brent.  He now has two experienced and quality coordinators and can concentrate on being a head football coach.
    • He was pretty darn good for a freshman, but he will have a hard time seeing the field at Oakland for a good while, I’m afraid.
