Kingsport has a GOB (good ole boy) system in place, no outside coaches welcome.    Johnson City only cares about beating Kingsport every year, it's their super bowl.             And yes, both DB and SH have athletes all over the field but they just can't ever seem to get it together as a team.       DB last made the semi's 20 years ago and SH has never gotten out of the 3rd round.

Great question, how can both of those schools consistently compete for state championships in every sport but football? Lack of athletes is not the answer.

I've watched Boone's close games, and i'm afraid the won't get all the turnovers they got in their other close games.  Hampton and Science Hill both practically gave Boone the game.  Or do you think they force all those turnovers?

 

ANyway, should be a great game.  At least four local ones i'll have to watch.

As they say in Hawaii..... preach it bruddah...     The only thing I would add in addition to getting past the 3rd for the first time ever is that Shrewsbury needs to get a 60+ yard FG this time.    He has 54 and 55 in the last 2 games, time to break that 60 barrier.

They have 25 mph tailwinds in K-town?  The flags were ripping in those videos

Several things going on with the trailblazers right now with the QB going down (praying for his recovery) to clubhouse probs. I just hope their minds are focused and anyway it turns out happy for those young men for their accomplishments

Not even the refs from 2014 Rhea County couldn't keep West from winning this one.
