Mckenzie travels to MASE 11/25

Looking forward to this one.  Couple of questions and answers after finally seeing MASE in person against Peabody.

1.  Can they win the game?  Yes they have the athletes and line to matchup with anyone in 1A.

2.  Will they win? Probably not.

3. Why they won’t win:  First, I have a hard time believing they can have 20 penalties against Trenton and turn it around and play a penalty free against a much more talented McKenzie team.  Second, MASE didn’t complete a pass all night against Trenton.  Their RB is a stud, but he can’t win it by himself against McKenzie.

MASE can win this game but let’s face it, they escaped against Trenton whose only offense was the QB running the ball all night.  They are a very good team but I’d take McKenzie by at least 2 TDs.  Hope it’s a great game and I’m wrong lol

None of the teams threw it well this past weekend so why is it a knock on Mase?? They had the only big time player answer the bell this week. All teams had uncharacteristic games which tend to happen in the playoffs... MASE 26-10

You're wrong about the penalties. MASE didn't have 20 penalties. I would say they had around 10-13 penalties. Both teams combined for close to 20 penalties. Majority of MASE's penalties came in the first quarter, that's why Peabody was able to get off to a 14-0 lead. MASE was driving on their first drive, but negated by penalties.

I've attended a game at Orange Mound before.  If you have any reservations about the hospitality you will experience then no need to worry.  We won the game and everyone was as nice as people can be.  From the concession stand workers to the gate to their fans.  You will have a good experience at this game even with this much at stake.  So, don't worry just go and expect to have a good time.

    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
    • I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
