dawgswin
The State Championship was already played Makenzie vs City in the qtrs IMO. But let’s not forget Cornersville in 2018 had the better team by far and slipped up and got beat by Whitwell because of the gauntlet you have to go through in the West wears on you. ysoangry
Congrats coach Nick Cobb of McKenzie. Third trip to the big dance. Once as a player at Dresden and twice as a coach. Hope he gets that ring this trip.

The gold ball deserves to go back home with yall. Both teams "deserve" it, but preparation, determination, and heart will decide where the ball is to be displayed. It's cliche', but it's a shame that for one to win one must lose. I hope that after the sting of being so close and coming up just short fades that the kids watching the other team celebrate will realize what they've accomplished by simply making it there, and that every other 1A in the state is watching them play today. maverick348
Hopefully it will be an injury free ballgame. Both McKenzie and Clay County are good teams or they wouldn’t be playing for the State Championship. Sure hope the McKenzie Rebels are victorious.
