But can Anderson Co collect themselves after watching Pearl go 80 yards in 2 plays. Kicking game means nothing if you cant get stops.

I would onside kick and steal possessions

That's exactly what Red Bank did to them in the first half. AC turned the ball over on downs inside the 5. Red Bank went 96 yards on a pass.

AC shut them out second half and scored 29 unanswered points.

I'm not saying they'll do that to PC. Only saying they've been there before and didn't panic or lose composure.

Noonesfool said something back during our Elizabethton game. Only one person can get the ball at a time. Which is true. If we keep the speed from getting out of the gate; contained. And they may get loose but few and far between would be nice because it would be hard to see them stopping the Mavs from scoring, IMO. Too many weapons and it appears the longer the night/day goes the stronger the Mavs get. But who knows I could be wrong.

End of the day AC knows how to win. You don’t end up being 14-0 from nothing. They earned that.

After watching the Pearl Cohn-Haywood game, Anderson County will be going home with the gold ball. No disrespect to Pearl Cohn, because that was one of the best football games I've ever watched, but they are going to need to find some defense if they expect to beat Anderson County. But they do have some dudes over there, looking forward to a good game. :thumb:

All good points FM. Also wanted to personally congratulate  you on last week’s big win. You’re  definitely a loyal Mav without the tinted glasses. You’re also one of the top posters on the board and an influencer, at least for me. Best wishes and go Mavs!

    • No reasonable lawyer would take up this case. I am not a lawyer, but I know school law in and out.  Similar situations just like this play out thousands of times each year across the country, even at the college level (i.e. Ole Miss)  The Plaintiff's never win...ever.  If I am wrong, please provide a legal precedent for me. I will be waiting.  https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/39431892/judge-drops-ole-miss-player-lawsuit-lane-kiffin
    • Yes Justin Cruse was named head coach
    • It used to be, I think it still is, a change of 20% +/- gives reason to reclassify. Schools can choose to play up classifications but not down. Here is the mid cycle reclassification info on TSSAA.org When Memphis East changed from a regular public school to an "all-optional" school in 2017 the would've dropped to A but chose to stay in AAA in basketball (baseball, and softball) Penny was still coaching there and with the players they had they would've beaten A teams by 40 and slept walked to the championship. Other Memphis schools stayed in their classifications (mostly in basketball) until the next reclassification cycle. Of course this is the same time that a 4th class was added basketball.
