You folks know exactly what we are looking for and what our community needs.Ryan is a dang good coach.Some hurt feelings are about to Railroad him.They pay him and he will be here for the long run.These other coaches are looking for as one said a stepping stone and one who I have a ton of respect for just isn't the right guy right now In my opinion. He was a legendary coach no doubt but we need a younger coach for stability. If they pick a coach out of spite or hurt feelings we will lose our kids and before long Greenback football will be an after thought.This needs to be done right and soon!

Well Well Well. Looks like it’s leaked out that GB has moved on to its second choice. That would be an assistant from Riverdale. Are you kidding me right now!! This is turning into a joke and we are the laughing stock of TN high school football. I feel sorry for a couple people in this. First Coach Ryan for the complete disrespect during this process and second the possible new coach from middle TN. What a nightmare situation to walk into. Loudon people hiring for a GB football coach is comical in itself. Like they honestly care if we ever win another football game. I believe they are hanging out new principle out to dry on this one for him to hear it from the community. This should have been easy. A layup if you will. A no brainer!! Just make the hire and let’s get back to winning and filling stands and trucks. But no! What’s truely the motive here? Is it we just need a teacher. That’s not what was told in the interview process. It was told that we were looking for the best football coach. That was a lie. It has to be a lie because the guy that was offered has never been a head coach. Good luck to him. Now the Blount teams get richer with some GB boys. Tragedy.

Yep,Frost turned it down,Wagoner pulled name after it leaked out he applied.Now Riverdale Assistant (DC is what I heard)is on the clock. Good gracious!!Large school coach in a small school heck he will have a learning curve before he can even begin to build a decent team "IF" we even have enough to compete.

Information has come to light on several fronts that coach Ryan has been getting railroaded from the beginning. Coach Frost offered and turned it down. Now an assistant coach with zero head coaching experience has been offered?? This is outrageous. If the rumors are true someone at the County level has been slandering Coach Ryan's character it would be in the Counties best interest to halt this  where it stands and evaluate this process and start over.

Sounds like somebody is going out of their way to ruin Greenback Football on purpose. Somebody needs to send Two Men in a Truck and let it be known their fixing to be moved like it or not. Greenback needs another emergency town meeting tonight.

"You can lead a horse to water, but can't make him drink."...why even have a couple of people from the community on this committee and then not use any of their recommendations at all. And then there's this...a person under The Director of Schools that's totally against GR from the get go and then you have our School Broad member that has yet to stand up for anything in Greenback(this person knows the success that GB FB had with GR). What do we expect...Something Stupid.

You are obviously GB. Let’s us all know who you are. That way we all know who we’re dealing with. Don’t hide just say! Be brave. I believe we all know anyway. Just be careful passing out the threats about funding.

And another thing...if LOUDON can rehire Harig after a very short stint in Knox Co., than why can't we do the same with an obvious choice of GR... Being a educator or not, shouldn't have any bearing IMO on this hire. Hire the best man...and the BEST has already proven what he can do, too everyone on this committee. If you have a thorn in your rear over said person it's time to pull it out and make the RIGHT DECISION.

IT'S NOT WHAT'S BEST FOR YOU INDIVIDUALLY,  IT'S WHAT'S BEST FOR THESE YOUNG ADULTS.

Grider quit for two years and then rehired himself.  This Ryan man would definitely get them out houses around the honey hole reoccupied.  You think im joking but im not.

The Driver’s Ed teacher? We haven’t had Driver’s Ed at Greenback in decades. May go all the way back to Mr. Hudson. So will they be creating a new position & funding a vehicle for the new course? Would love to hear our School Board representative for GB & our County Commissioner for GB’s thoughts on this.
