There’s only 1 SR on the line. The team is pretty young, to be honest with you. As ORC said above, they’ll be good for years to come.

They will dominate that region as long as they are in it. What happens when they go from the biggest 5A school to being the smallest 6A school on the next cycle

He seems alright so far. I think he realized in the 2nd half of the Powell game who needs to touch the ball the most when 22 got carry after carry. Kid is a stud. Been the best back for 4 years at OR

He’s great, sure, but that was a great team effort all around. He’s just one kid. This is only his second year as a starter.

Yea he should've been starting since his Frosh year. Thats how good he is and has been. Hundley and him were a good backfield but both should have been on the field at one time not taking one out for the other. Both were better than Jackson

I don’t agree with that. I don’t think anybody could’ve ran behind the lines Jackson had to run behind while at OR. Kinda hard to run when the other team is blasting you in the backfield right when the ball is handed to you. Don’t get me wrong, I do think Dozier is a better back, but he would’ve been killed as a freshman running behind those putrid lines OR had in 20,21. I’ll let the coaches do the coaching. Anyway, this is a Maryville thread, so I’m out.

Thx Sweet, I was starting to wonder where I was.

I went by 825 for a brief view of practice. Rumor mill put out the rebels were running a 0-7 on defense, like the old Southern Miss teams maybe. Even dropping 11 into coverage. I can’t confirm or deny.

Maryville has a chance to win this game if they want it bad enough. The QB situation is nothing to worry about because they really split that position up until last week which I found strange. The high snaps have to stop because it's been the drive killer.

Agree. Winning the turnover battle will matter in this one, and I don’t expect many penalties on the rebels.

    • Congratulations to the Warrior baseball team winning the Region Championship.  Last night the football team beat Franklin Co 33-0 in their spring scrimmage. Warriors looked very good. Missing a few players who were playing baseball but still absolutely dominated. A lot of young ones got in halfway through the 3rd when the score reached 33-0. QB Tilton Pickett looked very sharp.  Sam Pickett is on another level this season. Seems to have put on 15 to 20 lbs in the off season and added a step as well. Transfer from last year Williamson caught numerous balls and is very elusive. Lots of athletes on this team. Defense was smothering and will only get better. The head coach from Sewanee was in attendance and offered 2 kids after the game. Could be a special year.
    • I heard Alabama was at Antioch practice and Colorado has offered QB. Hoping the Bears have a great year.
