I give Alcoa the edge too because Greeneville does have athletes but we don't have a USF commit or a top 15 TE in the nation on the roster. Have to get pressure on the QB. Thats longer than I've been a live lawnman . I'm the same way and have given clues on here about who i am many times (So much so I had someone from Greeneville call me after one of those clues and got asked "Are you Swipes on Coacht". I've also met other CoachT posters in person and they know I'm not afraid to tell you who I am I’m old but still in great shape…lol…Swipes always enjoy the banter on here with you and you know your football. BCsportsfan
I figure my game plan going into this game would be for Alcoa to focus on stopping the run first and trying to stunt and pressure the QB. Use #52 at nose early, to get line penetration and disrupt the timing. Force the Devils to pass with the QB under Pressure. Then hope the secondary made up of #11, #12, #18 , #4, #8 & #0 can lock down the field? Offensively, be balanced. Get the ball out to the edges quick. Use #0, #4, #44, #11 & #8 with quick short passes to force Greeneville from loading the box. Use #7 on interior runs and #5 on the runs to the edge on sweeps. Have some trick plays for the short yardage/ 4th and short plays needed to keep the offense on the field?

They can’t beat you setting on the bench.

Have some trick plays for the short yardage/ 4th and short plays needed to keep the offense on the field? I like the take BC. I listened to Coach Spadlen's interview with Grassroots Media this morning and we are definitely going to try and establish the running game to help set up the pass and try to control the pace of the game. Spradlen thinks we have to match Alcoa's Mentality and play Greene Devil Football (Physical) and not worry about the name on the Jersey. He feels the Greene Devil's have nothing to lose and wants to play loose and fly around the field. Limited how many big plays Alcoa has is a big time focus for the Greene Devils He starts talking about the Match up around the 9:30 mark of the video

noonesfool
We cannot afford stupid, I’m badder than you and get even penalties. We are very well coached, rarely will you see a 5 yard penalty on the front end of a play. Cannon has to have a great game and the O line has to sell out. We must spread the ball around and protect it. It will be a great raucous atmosphere at Burley tonight. Go Devils.

Thats like saying an Alligator and a Crocodile are the same Actually Swipes, old timers used to call tornadoes, cyclones. Since E-Town is one of the old schools, I would bet this is what they were thinking when they chose the nickname. From the Wizard of Oz Chapter 1; "The Cyclone" Suddenly Uncle Henry stood up. “There’s a cyclone coming, Em,” he called to his wife. “I’ll go look after the stock.” Then he ran toward the sheds where the cows and horses were kept... The house whirled around two or three times and rose slowly through the air. Dorothy felt as if she were going up in a balloon. The north and south winds met where the house stood, and made it the exact center of the cyclone. In the middle of a cyclone the air is generally still, but the great pressure of the wind on every side of the house raised it up higher and higher, until it was at the very top of the cyclone; and there it remained and was carried miles and miles away as easily as you could carry a feather.
