Zalmer started at tailback as a freshmen out of the side saddle single wing and rotated with Ronto Tipton.  Hibbs and Robinson were the fullbacks that rotated with them.

A few years ago Hargis wrote an article about the top 10 area state champions he has covered. The 2007 Pirate team was the highest rated SP team on his list at #8. The 94 team was an honorable mention.

To me,98 was better than 99…just had a Trousdale meltdown.

Was it the 97 or 98 Trousdale team who pummeled every one all year long? Can’t remember the exact year but know it was one of the two

Still to this day may be the best 1A team I have ever seen with my own eyes

I believe that was the '97 bunch.

 

'96 wasn't much different, except they did lose to DCA that season in the playoffs.

They beat SP but didn't pummel them. SP lost close games to Trouserhosers in 93 and 98 semies, but paid them back in 1994 & 99. TC and SP had to deal with each other AND the Alphabet teams in the 1990s and 2000's during the playoffs.

Just did a little research and found the 97 TC schedule

Went 15-0

Outscored opponents 733-63

Playoffs games against DCA, Celina, CPA, Oneida, and Clarksville Academy had a combined score of 239-20 

Complete dominance. Tough to run the table like that in any sport, at any level

Old Pirate says youngons can only post about what theys seen. Geno should get Great Grand Pappy to learn him more. Wigfall is The Legend known around the area. Leastways, Old Timers knowds more than the youngons when theys can remember atall.

Chatt Prep definitely has some good athletes. My cougars have looked pretty bad. We have some good athletes, but we don’t have enough to compete nor the coaching to compete with anyone half way decent.
