Pirate Mike, Roy Dillard, and that Main Event man are having some good conversations right now I’m sure. Mike was a good one and will miss talking to him at games.

I got the text about 8am yesterday. My all time favorite meet and greet was at the speedway with Mike and Tom and a few other SP fans. They became great friends!!Pirate Mike was one of the toughest little guys I have ever met in my life,Heaven got one of the best.My prayers go to all of his family and his Pirate family as well.

Friends, with a heavy heart i want to announce that PirateMike met his Heavenly Father yesterday morning at 7:20 am. I was there to witness his last breath along with our mom and dad and his wife. Please pray for all of us in the coming days. You can reach out to me directly at 423.802.7135 for information related to his funeral arrangements. Also we have set up a savings account at a local bank to bless Michael’s wife and their two children in his honor. If anyone is interested, please let me know.

MICHAEL'S OBITUARY

Michael Brian Allison passed away on Friday, July 5, 2024, at the age of 47 after a valiant fight with cystic fibrosis surrounded by his loving family.

Born on September 18, 1976, in Stevenson, AL. Michael was a cherished member of the Pirate community and a church member of KTOP. Michael was an avid fan of the South Pittsburg Pirates and TN Vols. He loved spending time with his family and being outdoors.

His heart overflowed with love for his son and daughter as they brought him eternal happiness. He showed them immense love and affection from their first breath until his last. The love he poured into his children and wife will be carried on for more than a lifetime.

Mostly known for his strong-willed nature, Michael was also selfless. He showed love and provided for all those around him. He valued the importance of family and friendships, and his warm and inviting presence will be deeply missed.

Michael is survived by his loving wife 22 years, Melissa Evans Allison; son Blake Allison (14); daughter, Hannah Allison (9); father, Tom (Annette) Allison; mother, Carolyn Allison; brothers, Heath Allison, Tommy Allison (Kelly) and brother by love Keith (Melissa) Grooms; one niece and nephew and many dear friends.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. (CST) at the Kimball Tabernacle of Praise Church, 1419 Battle Creek Rd, South Pittsburg, TN 37380 with Rev. Darrell Nunley and Rev. Calvin Nunley officiating.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. (CST) at the church prior to the funeral service.

Interment will follow the service at Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Bridgeport, Al.

The pallbearers will be Tom Allison, Tommy Allison Jr, Heath Allison, Keith Grooms, Eddie Allison, and Marc Allison.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you make donations to Citizens Tri-County Bank in honor of Michael.

Arrangements are entrusted to Rogers Funeral Home, 400 Laurel Ave, South Pittsburg, TN 37380 (423) 837-7176.
