Yes! :thumb:

Let's not talk about Blount County's finest official which called a bogus 5th foul on our star player that night.  But aye, we'll see you all at State.  We got a bad draw first round but, "ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE!"

With all the new apartments being built in Blount County close to Alcoa, there's no way those numbers are correct.  Like I said, stand at the door with a counter and I bet its more than you all turned in .

Another thing AE has won 3-4 games the last 4 years however before that we averaged 8-9 wins so don't think AE is just a 3-4 win school.

Well Is it official has Stanton gotten the job yet?

Call Knox County Schools and ask what the hold up is.  Like I've stated previously, he's already met with the team, been in the community lobbying for his program, been at the basketball games, etc... Its a done deal in AE eyes (Community and School) but as usual KCS always got something to say or do when it comes to AE.. They're trying their best to closed AE down like they did Rule (I would've been a GOLDEN BEAR so I'm still mad at that)

Wonder what AE would have been like had Rule not gotten shut down

I think AE would be just fine the question is , what would have Fulton been like....

That is correct. My cousin coached at Rule with Bob Polston, Joel Helton, Don Ward, and Swaggerty (l think, don't remember his first name). My cousin told me that if all of the football players zoned for Rule stayed in zone Fulton would have a hard time fielding the competitive football teams they had. l don't think Rule  hurt AE. Rule used to be AA back in the day. AE used to be AAA with Central and Fulton. I would think Fulton hurt AE the most, followed by Central later on and maybe Holston before it closed.

    • CBG, Therein lies the problem. HFA and MLK have high academic standards and requirements that not all of the best ATHLETES can meet.  When they get a run of academically minded athletes they have success. When they do not, there are lean years. Both schools past history shows this to be true. Hume Fogg has had great years in basketball and VERY lean years. MLK also. It applies to all their sports.  The thing that separates them is their kids typically have more self-discipline and work ethic.
    • Not making fun at all just stating a fact that he should have time now. you said he didn't have time because of the tournament.
    • Yep! Now if both teams play at their best (including their supporting cast) then I really don’t know who wins. I might would lean Upperman then because I believe they tend to play better team defense, but since I’ve seen Greeneville play much closer to their best lately than I’ve seen Upperman (outside of Ty Cobb) that is why I believe Greeneville wins today. It will honestly come down to which team plays the best today IMO.
    • It will be interesting to see how Greeneville decides to play Cobb. My guess is they face guard try to keep the ball out of hands as much as possible, but that’s nothing new. It’s about time Upperman brings their A game to the dance otherwise it will be game over.
    • Couldn’t agree more with you! And most of Greenville’s main players (outside of Thompson) are also football players, from my understanding and from what’s been said throughout the season. I would say the same is true from Greenville’s perspective on Ty Cobb, can’t stop him and just try to slow him down.    That’s why I see it coming down to each teams supporting cast. And it really seems like that should benefit Greeneville with how many shooters and how consistent their shooting has been. I believe Uppermans best chance is to try and get early fouls on Thompson and put him in foul trouble.  now one thing I don’t think many people outside of Upperman fans realize is how good Chaffin is at taking charges. You wouldn’t think a 230 6’4” guy would necessarily be the best at it, but he is good at it. that could play huge in this game if he can get a couple on Thompson
