You'll have to find the truth from another source. This is not the place to be bashing kids.

Where was a kid bashed??? Matter of fact, the kid was more than defended in this post lol. Try again, unless you want to bash a kid for leaving a personal toxic environment.....

I never said the kid was bashed nor do I intend to bash any kid on this forum but there are two sides to every story.

End of the day, was the kid kicked off by LA coach? Yes. Did the kid and family get a legit move to White Co? Yes. Are adults trying to stand in the way of a kids senior year of basketball? Yes. The kid is the 1 trying to be messed over here bc of adults desires ultimately.

No need in trying again rabbitranch...if the subtleness of your remark was missed the first time around at least some of us "got it" immediately. You'll either have to spell it out or let it go, and I know that you wouldn't spill the beans for the sake of some hardhead. I salute your integrity, there should be more of it on here.

I’m going to say this much. I know a little bit about this situation and #1 the player was let go by LA. #2 the family moved residences to another county. So therefore by T$$AA rules she IS eligible to play. Now the problem is the former coaching staff is trying to keep her from playing that is a fact!  I’m sure they have their reasons as to why they are doing this but the rules are the rules. I also know for a fact that the LA boys basketball program has two “transfers”  this year. So why isn’t there a problem with those kids that are transferring in?  Explain this please

I know absolutely nothing about the entire situation, other than the fact that I immediately understood pretty much everything rabbitranch intended but wouldn't say.

Yeah I understood what was implied, I know Rabbit and do not doubt a word he’s saying. I also know there are things that have happened with parents getting into altercations etc.. but at the end of the day the student athlete should be allowed to play if they follow the guidelines set by TSSAA and they have.  Just because a coach is bitter doesn’t mean they have the right to keep a child from playing and that is absolutely what is happening here. If it’s ok for you to GET transfers then you should allow kids to transfer out. If I was the parent I’d move my child to their biggest rival and dare TSSAA to stop me. It would be a monumental lawsuit!  LA is trying to keep this child from playing where she wants to play at in her final year of eligibility. They have contacted TSSAA and a lot of nasty things have been said and “alleged”. However they might want to be careful after getting a couple of transfers of their own. I’m just sayin…

If the kid and the whole family moved out of house A into house B I don't see where there could be a problem.

Agreed. Change of domicile to the zoned area for the new team is an instant approval for transfer.

Well that’s exactly what has happened and the LA coaches are trying to keep her from playing her senior year. Unless she goes to a school they don’t play against. That’s not how it works and I can’t believe T$$AA is even entertaining this notion. I’ve heard they have tried to say she was practicing in the gym back in April, that White County was practicing during that time which is false however they’ve gotten the powers that be at White County to decline her eligibility. They better hope she doesn’t show up at Upperman, because if she does it’s game over! If I was her parents that’s exactly where I would go! I doubt that happens Jackson County is a more likely landing spot but we shall see. I have it on good authority there’s a meeting on Wednesday of this week to decide if she stays at WC or is forced to move yet again.

    • Thankfully,  No Madden in his resume!   Fortunately this new hire, Greg Vandagriff, is pure “gridiron” football!   Work, sweat, get better everyday, outsmart Goliath when you must, but work, work, work.  Wompuscat, we don’t know each other, yet  but I have a strong feeling you are going to really, really like this new coach.  He’s a guy’s  guy and will navigate the Lakeway organizational chart like a good running back would.  He’ll look for the holes,  but I have a feeling he will not hesitate to plow over the toughest defense to reach the goal line.    Lakeway’s program is still in its infancy.  The dismal win loss history is normal in the early years.  Fortunately the stars are now aligning in Lakeway’s favor.    Coach Vandagriff has written a book titled, “The Power of the Patch”.  It’s his life story of rising  above a troublesome childhood and  becoming the father and man he always wanted in his life, but never had.   He gives all credit to his faith in God (instilled by his grandmother).  He credits his high school football coach with molding his character and work ethic.  The book is now available on Amazon.      I’ve read the book.  It’s a tearjerker, if you are a sentimental grandma.  Lakeway has been blessed to begin a new football chapter with a head football coach whose goals are aligned with the school’s.
    • Kirby was the only one offered, nobody else had a chance to turn it down.
    • Didn’t say we would win, we aren’t scared of competition like a lot of teams out west…. We called a lot of the big bad teams in west tn and none of them wanted to play. We filled our week 2 game with JP2 anyways.
    • No one knows what the schedule will be.  To assume 45 would be foolish.  My wife and I have a few friends who work at the high school and up until Friday they said he was going to meetings throughout the week.  He immediately went back to Covington.  His wife never moved.  This isn’t complicated
