Webb is originally from Henry County. He left OHS to take over the Head coach job at Henry. That didn't work out for him as the folk there ...well they are too into politics......so he left. Johnson snagged him up.He is a good man.

That Watters kid , I think he is #22 for Franklin is good. hard to bring down. Also they have one heck of a kicker. They are a TEAM....no real standouts, just a solid nucleus.

Hopefully, this game won't be decided on the kicking game. And hopefully Riverdale doesn't get ultra-conservative like last year or they very well could be in a fight.

Be grateful Matt Solima graduated last year. He was a heck of a QB with an arm like a cannon. He would have passed on you all night......2 real speedsters that could catch and flat FLY graduated too.....and picked yall's secondary to the BONE>

Hmmm... well, I don't know. I'll just say keep on eye on the Williamson A.M. on tennessean.com and look for a letter to the editor about this game. That might give you your answer.

I have no way of seeing the Williamson AM......but I am intrigued and will find a way!

This is the first time in the past few years I can honestly say that Riverdale has the better team. They made it to the championship game last year on heart and a few good breaks.Brentwood from 2002 was the better team as well. Riverdale will win this game because the best team has won state the past couple of years. Except for maybe Lincoln Co. last year.

It's on the web at tennessean.com/williamsonam ... hopefully it'll get published. The last time I wrote one to them (bashing them for bashing the c/o 2003's graduation) it was so hopefully my chances are good. Haha, yes, it's sad... but I LOVE my REBELS!

This really is funny, I mean if I didnt live in TN or follow High School Football I would think Franklin's defense had a stretch of 9 games only giving up 8 points.  I would think Franklin was only giving up 5 points per game.  Riverdale was not doing that against weak teams.  They only gave up 20 total points in 3 games to two teams that score over 30 points a game.  Lebanon and Smyrna.  Those were two very very good teams.  They just got caught up in the wrong region. Oh yea Cookville was pretty good.  Oak Ridge, can you fault them for giving up 28 points to them.  They give up some points, break up the Warriors they stink, they will be luck to score 17 on Franklin?  I didnt know finally giving up some points was a crime in football, its bout time they let some people score, but anyway, staying on the Franklin D, did I mention that Riverdale scores about 45 points a game, and Franklin is going to hold them to 17? Don't think so.  Not saying Franklin doesnt have a chance, they just arent that good (their chances).

    • What you are saying is true about high school athletics being a privilege and not a right, but NO ONE ever knows what will happen if a case goes before a jury.  Again, I have been in a couple of jury rooms and it's always a little crazy.  That is why my prediction is you will see a settlement before the case goes to trial.
    • What rules does everyone not operate by?
    • So you want a have and have not split? Sound like the perfect ramp to elitism. Tell those rural kids that they'll never be able to compete with those urban kids. They're not good enough right? Or we could just do what travel baseball does and have tournaments every weekend and give kids big fake rings for winning a few games. The suburban public schools are typically the ones with more funds. Urban and rural schools have more in common in finances than they do with rural schools. I've taught and coached in all of it. The difference is attitude. But if you're jsut going to say you can't compete because you don't have the money then that's an excuse. Especially in basketball. The balls are the same size, the rims are the same height and size. The ball dribbles the same in some rural gym in mountains as it does in the FedEx forum. Charters come and go like a fart in the wind. They are no real threat to anyone. Magnets could be but rarely do they win either. It just hasn't been seen in Tennessee.
    • That’s a good line. Wins would be Soddy, Howard, and Ooltewah. Maybe East Ham again or Knox Central. Tyner maybe but being that late in the year it’s hard to say. I don’t think we get by Red Bank this year.    Rhea could be anywhere from 2-8 to 6-4.
    • I agree with the Farragut and Bradley claim. Those will both be wins. Bearden like you say is depending on when you get them in comparison to when the wheels fall off.  As far as West goes I’m 50-50. They have been able to reload so far so until they show me they haven’t I can’t count them out.
