Siegel is going to be in rebuilding mode. Return some experience on defense (but lost their linebackers). Got a few playmakers on offense with knox brothers greedy howse, and hopefully the Middleton kid at qb (at least for Siegel's sake). I think Siegel can make the playoffs, but I wouldnt expect anything more than 1st or 2nd round from this team

Gwave, who does Shelbyville have coming back?

Mason Cunningham at QB. He threw for around 2000 yards last year. Tall QB with a full year under his belt. Michael Eddings, very quick tailback. He has a lot of zip. Those two along with a few wideouts return. Not sure about their line. Should be a very competitive team this year.

Great night at Hville tonight as the annual lift a thon was held. Great crowd, great enthusiasm and great to see how the winter workouts have paid off. The Commandos begin spring practice April 28th, have the Black and Gold game on May 2nd and scrimmage Smyrna at home on May 6th. With over 100 players on the varsity roster competition will be fierce for playing time. Lots of potential with 8 returning starters on offense, 3 on defense and players coming up from back to back undefeated freshman teams. Most important though is team chemistry and the leadership by the seniors. Looking forward to getting started. GO COMMANDOS!

    • also was told coady auston applied, he served as defensive coordinator for greenfield under don pitt several years ago before going to Obion county
    • TSSAA restrictions for hiring non-faculty coaches have been removed for over a year at this point. In the past a non-faculty person had to be "grandfathered" by being an assistant coach for five years, being fingerprinted, and having a background check run per TSSAA rules... since those were rescinded, the board of directors for the school district are responsible for any/all restrictions on hiring non-faculty personnel. I guess what I'm saying to you is that if you really wanted what you posted, it's already possible as long as your local BOE will allow for it.
    • stop it, rlh. you’re gonna get me all misty eyed and sentimental.    i see seven fairly regularly. ….but slim shady, that’s like spotting bigfoot on main street. you just hope he doesn’t spot you.
