Great to see!!! https://www.timesfreepress.com/bestofpreps2024/Jaxon-Lane/?fbclid=IwZXh0bgNhZW0CMTEAAR1ZWGaHB2ilMrnlyyumOPetIu9rF3aiBl0RtYQAEfwI3HxiFn--CtGziF8_aem_Achl6dRaS7Z-XOckkD2HqcBEsw7XwxkOKBY6-qTu8DCUR5253Zb_k5xogS7f0Dmq0Bq6wQdtwgcON0DQsPz-UlbN

  6. A lot of people don’t realize how valuable JMO was. QB, safety, punter and holder on pat’s. Kid did it all. I fully believe if he was healthy Dburg would have made it to the ship last year.
  7. If Dyersburg quarterback who is also starting safety hadn’t got hurt it would of another blowout
  8. For perspective the county school I’m associated and graduated from only has 7,600 people in the entire county with a median age of roughly 47. That’s not very many 14-18 year olds to choose from. I think the football team had 25-28 kids or around there. On the other hand Shelby County has 916,000+ with a median age of 36. This isn’t just about Shelby county, but all the big ones with huge economic advantages! An urban/rural split would benefit tons of smaller schools that have to compete with counties with 120x the amount of people. Especially the ones who can pick and choose their players from a pool like that! I also agree with Pujo about charter and magnets and they will eventually be phased into the private divisions because it is obviously an advantage plus all the funding! Add that county schools can’t go recruit outside of their county like charters and magnets!
  9. They should be starting next week and go from there. They never do Spring Practice in April
  10. It will be interesting to see if the Warren County School District allows this to go before a jury or they settle out of court before going to trial. My guess is that this case never goes to trial. If this goes before a jury, they could award even more than the $750K. I was on a jury where they were asking for 185K and were awarded 1.2 million. You never know what will happen in that jury room.
  11. Recovering from what?
  12. Hearing @Sackmaster50 and Iceman from McGavock coming at DBs.
  13. I don't like the situation from either side. The player may have been wrongly kicked off the team but $750,000-kind of wronged?
  14. All high school coaching postions are year to year. At least in public schools.
  15. Yes in the regular season. But once Westview's young kids got the experience from the season, they only lost to Dyersburg by a field goal in the playoffs. Westview was young last year. They will be tough this year
  16. That is absolutely not the truth. Few if any college coaches or school administrators want to be in the middle of legal proceedings if there is any way possible to avoid being caught in the middle. With that being said I have two questions: 1. Why would a coach remove any player from the team for using the F WORD? Yes, I fully understand the player must be held accountable for her actions. Maybe extra running and even a one game suspension but if every kid or coach that used improper language was kicked off the team or fired, they would have no players or coaches available to play the games. 2. If there was truly another player or coach that witnessed this situation, and they agree with the player then by all means the coach should be held accountable for their actions.
  17. 1st round exit? For real ?!?!?! Oh wait..... are we talking band or football?
  18. Assistant football staff still the same? Any replacement for Brian Beaubien? Who will be the DC? Will there be anything going on this spring with football? I go watch practice often.
  19. Their feeder programs are in the best shape they've ever been.
  20. The definition of what happened to the ex-coach is ambiguous. The school said they were going in a different direction and thanked her for her service as coach. Apparently, coaches in Warren County operate on one-year agreements of some type. Rumors are that she was asked to resign, and refused. Whatever happened, it appears that the school system did not renew the one-year agreement with the ex-coach to come back for another season. One and done tenure as coach. Stotts has been a guidance counselor at the high school in Warren County. Several years ago, the former girls coach who is now an AD and assistant principal dismissed Stotts from his staff on the first day of the season. That reality made the hiring of Stotts a mystery to many people in Warren County.
