The answer is no. JCM will not be a threat in Jackson until they can beat the other three schools on a consistent basis (basically go 2-1 each year) which they haven't done since the year 2005. They haven't defeated North Side since the year 2005 as well, and they haven't defeated Liberty since 2006. When they do return to varsity football in the year 2023 I believe, the Cougars will be on a 11 game losing streak. Shutout to CoachT for not losing their schedule.
I could be wrong, but I'm sure all the practice equipment has been sold. It's no longer at JCM. They have to purchase all of that. Also, if someone has saved the uniforms from JCM, they mind as well trash them all. The TSSAA came out a few years ago with new guidelines for uniforms beginning in the years of 2022 or 2024. Basically stating that all road jersey's need to be all white other than numbers and team affiliation across the chest. JCM was getting penalized during games for not having uniforms that met those standards back when they played, and the TSSAA will enforce stricter guidelines for road uniforms.
I do believe that JCM will be able to get a new football stadium beside Oman Arena when this is all set and done. That is currently in the talks. That new stadium will have a track around it (hope it's regulation track and not screw it up like they did at the three other schools). I believe Greg Hammond has been pleading for a new stadium and track for years now (and I don't know why exactly). However, it appears he could get his way. And be honest, the days of playing at Roth Rock are over.
If you're South Side, North Side, and Liberty, you do not schedule JCM will they begin varsity football again. No one shows up to football games in Jackson anymore. North Side will be better off keeping Haywood on the schedule, and I'm confident South Side will be better off having Union City on the schedule as well. If this does happen (and it probably will), the quality of football in Jackson will be awful to watch, as what @BIGPURPLEMACHINE mentioned.
