Montgomery Central lost tonite to Houston County 60-53. Sloppy game on both sides. both teams didnt shoot the ball very well. Central got in foul trouble late. Free throws really hurt us tonite too. We also blew a 5 point lead with bout 4 or 5 minutes left in the 4th. Houston County shot well from the charity strip thats wat won it for them.

Waverly won tonight by about 10 or so. We passed the ball very well tonight. Tomorrow the Tigers host Houston Co.

We looked better tonight, played better defense, still didn't rebound well. We really hurt for an inside player. The sophomores are the best players on this team. We got the W. HAving said that though we did play a single A team that was even younger than us. Mostly freshmen and sophomores from what the coach told me.

I think we all know that the deciding game for this district is the Sycamore Harpeth game. I wish it would get here sooner. I hear Harpeth is pretty hot this year, and I've seen for myself that Sycamore is no team to be messed with. Everyone seems split on who they predict will win district. I'd like to see Sycamore on top obviously, but I still haven't seen enough ball play this season to make a good prediction. Sycamore plays at McGavock tomorrow and I don't know too much about them besides what I've read in On The Ball. Anyone have any predictions for tomorrows game?

Tonight should be Sycamore's first "real test" as they travel to Nashville to take on a McGavock team that is very athletic. Sycamore has got to defend well and rebound tonight because they will get blown out if they don't. Sycamore by 5 in a close one. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

Sycamore is scheduled to play McGavock tonight in the "Metro Thanksgiving Classic" however with the shooting that took place at McGavock last night I really don't know if they'll play that one tonight as scheduled or not. The word I have heard is that the entire school grounds are considered as being "a crime scene" until further notice.

My personal thoughts and prayers go out to those two young victims and their families. This is a tough thing to have to endure over what is supposed to be a great holiday season.

The kids are going through the motions for the games tonight, so it looks like they are on. I believe the Pleasant View police chief is also going to come to the game.

    • Well personally I see us going 9-1 so that isn't doom and gloom to me , Most people are thinking 6-4. Bearden will be the possible loss but hoping not. I was very impressed with what I saw this spring.
    • the kid you are speaking about, played in JV games,  2H half Science Hill game, split time in Hardin Valley and Bearden and that was it.   The upcoming Senior RB was All Region as a Junior and is regarded by the media as one of the top running backs in East TN for 2024 season. Scouting services have him as a top 10 back in the state.  Something aint adding up with gloom and doom. Maybe he was hurt and not at spring practice when you watched?
    • It won't be long now, he gone.
    • Are you kidding me?  You are just trolling now.  The new head coach's qualifications would be volunteer coach at the Oak Ridge Boys Club?  C'mon man, you can't be serious.  You're trolling us.  Anybody working at Clinton High School has to be like a cat in a room full of rocking chairs at this point.  They are coming after anybody and everybody that had knowledge of what was going on.  This is about to get real ugly.  Only in Clinton.
    • So no way they can compete with the likes of McCallie or Baylor still then
