Montgomery Central lost tontie against Clarksville High 76-38. We Just didnt come ready to play. i gotta question for yall. has anybody ever heard of a technical foul on a "fake charge." ive never heard of this. all wat happend on the play was it wa a fast break the CHS player went up for a layup wit 1 central player under the basket. the central player set up for the charge but just got bumpd bak and didnt fall down. the referee calld a technical foul on the central player. this play happened when the game was far out of reach.

Well SC lost a nailbitter by 3. They were down by 2 and on an inbounds play had a layup that was missed that couldve been a foul although it wasn't called. SC had another chance with 8.6 secs inbounding down 3 and missed a 3. SC played pretty bad all game with a lot of TOs in the first half at least 15. Neither of these teams wanted the game. At one point Fairview was up 15 with 6 minutes in the 3rd.

yeh SC nor fairview played well from what i hear. but i dont see how stewart county can expect to win when one of or if not the best player on the team was on the bench the whole first half. I was not able to attend but i have been a stewart county supporter for a while and called a friend to ask how the game went. He told me that Stewart played horrible in the first half but in the second half when Dylan Smith checked into the game it was brought from a 16 point deficit to a tie game. I dont know the kid very well but ive seen him play and he can ball he has the mind and heart of a winner and i dont understand why he wasnt on the floor. Stewart has a long way to come but from what i hear they had some players step up 2nite on the defensive end of the floor so mayb that will continue. Good luck rebs

Well the reason Smith was out the first half was discplinary action from getting a technical against Houston Co. and a very good reason SC still played horrible and so did Fairview. SC had so many chances to tie or take the lead in both halves.oh btw it was 8 at the half when Smith checked nothing against him hes one of the better players and it showed tonight they missed him in the first half.

o my bad i thought it was 16. i heard they were down 16 early in the third or sumthin i think. but it was for punishment he was set out the first half? i still dont think the coach should have been that harsh over one technical if he wanted to win. He should of just ran the kid long enough to where he learned his lesson but i think his decision to set him out might have cost then 2nite.

Waverly is seeing these young guys get better and better. They may be dangerous toward the end of the year. I see them pulling some upsets in the District. They lost to Dickson County tonight by 16 but, it was a 4 point game with 4 minutes to go in the ball game and Dickson went to the four corners and Waverly was forced to foul. It was a great effort by the Tigers despite the worst game that leading scorer Justin Vogel had played all year. No height, but a lot of heart. Go Tigers!

    • What you are saying is true about high school athletics being a privilege and not a right, but NO ONE ever knows what will happen if a case goes before a jury.  Again, I have been in a couple of jury rooms and it's always a little crazy.  That is why my prediction is you will see a settlement before the case goes to trial.
    • What rules does everyone not operate by?
    • So you want a have and have not split? Sound like the perfect ramp to elitism. Tell those rural kids that they'll never be able to compete with those urban kids. They're not good enough right? Or we could just do what travel baseball does and have tournaments every weekend and give kids big fake rings for winning a few games. The suburban public schools are typically the ones with more funds. Urban and rural schools have more in common in finances than they do with rural schools. I've taught and coached in all of it. The difference is attitude. But if you're jsut going to say you can't compete because you don't have the money then that's an excuse. Especially in basketball. The balls are the same size, the rims are the same height and size. The ball dribbles the same in some rural gym in mountains as it does in the FedEx forum. Charters come and go like a fart in the wind. They are no real threat to anyone. Magnets could be but rarely do they win either. It just hasn't been seen in Tennessee.
    • That’s a good line. Wins would be Soddy, Howard, and Ooltewah. Maybe East Ham again or Knox Central. Tyner maybe but being that late in the year it’s hard to say. I don’t think we get by Red Bank this year.    Rhea could be anywhere from 2-8 to 6-4.
    • I agree with the Farragut and Bradley claim. Those will both be wins. Bearden like you say is depending on when you get them in comparison to when the wheels fall off.  As far as West goes I’m 50-50. They have been able to reload so far so until they show me they haven’t I can’t count them out.
