ReitzFan
Milan In A Big Big Way. Hey< There Is Nothing Like Pounding A Private Huh? Funny thing, I remember back during the playoffs in 2006 that a private POUNDED McKenzie on their home turf. You remember that don't you Butchie? Anyway, back on topic.............this will be USJ's best shot at Milan since the move to AA. If the USJ offensive line can protect Overby, it could be an interesting game. BulldawgDynasty
Because USJ's offense is so much different than most teams around here, IF milan came out flat and expected to win this game without problem, I could see a USC-Oregon State type upset happening. This being said, Morris will have Milan as pumped up as they have ever been. USJ will get their yards and catches, but Milan dominates. Hey, I am just glad to see USJ back in the mix and being talked about again...trash talk and all. No one cared for the last three years when we were winning 3 games a year! SEC1rules
Milan wins! They are just too physical.
jp22
Wow this sounds like it will be a great high scoring game. If the Stangs weren't playing Camden I would be at this game. Both of these teams have great offenses. The question is which defense is gonna make a stop?
GCPioneer
usj 42 and milan 21. jake overbey will be the differnce.the kid is good and getting better. The only team that will probably beat Milan this year by 21 points is Alcoa. I don't think there's another 2A team in the state that is 21 points better than Milan although I could be wrong. Ctownfootball
I've seen USJ play 2 games, I've also seen Milan play 2. So let's do some number crunching here: Milan record 5-0, USJ 5-0. Milan Points for: 210 points against: 74, USJ points for: 202 points against:108 Teams Played in top 10: Milan: 2, USJ: 0 Yards per Game: Milan: 677, USJ: 425.6 Milan has my pick, not just based on these numbers but I just dont think USJ will have the ability to play with Milan for 4 whole quarters. I think Milan will beat the Bruins by 2 plus touchdowns, and I cant say an exact score because of the explosiveness of both teams.
Guest nwtnsports
Just to clarify some of those numbers, with official stats from both teams: Yards per game - USJ 410.4, Milan 393.4 In addition, USJ is Milan's first AP top ten opponent. These numbers may be interesting, but they don't matter. What does matter is how the teams play this Friday night.

I dunno if Harding Academy was ranked when USJ beat them, but it's worth noting they have one of the top players in the country in Marlon Brown. Briarcrest was no slouch either as a D2-AA team with several college prospects (though their QB missed the second half). I believe USJ has had the tougher schedule so far but it's kind of apples and oranges. This should be a great game with two high-powered (though different) offenses. footballfan2004
Milan will win by 3 td's if they want to. They have entirely to many weapons for USJ. This game will be out of hand before halftime. Milan will not be tested until late in the playoffs. If they stay injury free they will be facing alcoa in the championship game. Good luck to USJ the rest of the way but go ahead and chalk up a big L for this game.
