Somebody...Anybody....Can you help me out?

There hasn't been that much change at TH 83. They just want us to believe that this isn't the same team that played Erwin, North, East, etc. Or better yet, they are trying to convince themselves. /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />

I know ...they think just because we struggled early to later part of the season with 3 years worth of SSSHHH!! i,ll whisper it so i don,t get called a whiner(INJURYS).

that is the team that they will face tonight /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> They don,t have the speed to cover the deep ball on the corners in man to man... no one who can run with Wilson or Young and when Kennan breaks lose bye bye..found that out last year. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

they have plenty of speed to cover it. they might not be the best. but OTHER THAN BIG PLAYS, what did the receivers do against central? nothing. the touchdown in the beginning was not even covered. they didn't burn anyone. what have they done all year for that matter? they only scored PASSING on those out routes to the backs. south has some of the best linebackers in the area. they'll getcha.

you're right about shephard though. he can run. but still...those central boys held him down. he was hurtin in the second quarter. wish i could say the same for all the other backs and players.

souf will woll. by foteen.

You had nine starters out on defense?????? I find that hard to believe. Secondly if you think we don't have speed in the defensive backfield, well then you just keep on believing! /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" /> I am trying to ascertain how THS became so vastly improved on the defensive side of the ball. Nothing more nothing less. If THS had nine starters out on both sides of the ball then that is more easily swallowed. Yet no one will or is willing to give me the starters that were MIA until the last couple of weeks on defense.

Hey, guys, there's nothing on here since yesterday but a bunch of squabbling and it's becoming abit monotonous.

Then there's Hoople, who after a long night of binge drinking, apparently, is picking all the upsets in the area. I think I'll go join Hoople and see if he's got any of that apple pie "Shine" left. The boys will decide the outcome on the field, tonight, so ya'll start lightening up on each other a bit, it's just about all over but the shouting. I think it's going to be a hard fought game from both sides, and I hope the boys (from both teams) all have a safe game.

I'm thinking I'll take a hietas (sp) for the remainder of the day (may check in once or twice to see if there's anything of value), so we'll see you all at the game tonight. Look for me--I'll have a Blue Shirt and Blue Hat on.

All my friends from TH, when you see me, wave at me--look for the Blue Shirt or Blue Hat.

Looks like they let the resource class at South go to the Library and play on the computer again today. /biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" /> /laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />

Cap, Dude, I am so with you! I was reading along thinking maybe my 3rd grade class had hijacked the forum--- at least all the girls in my class.... UGGG, boys! Do you need Mrs. Taylor to put you in detention? We hope Bobby plays tonight and that Fletcher gets a ton of yards for his last game.

I've got some great random photos of the team to get to most of you Rebel parents- if you see me tonight, give me a yell for some great pictures to share. I'll have my 4 year old with me- she insists on skipping trick or treating to see her big 'Bubby' play his last game for the year. Now that's a loyal future REBEL Gal for ya!

Thanks for all the support for our family & The Blue ######-

we appreciate our friends!

Love & Rebel Football-

BobbyMama

    • They’ve both gotten worse. I’ve seen enough games to know that.
    • The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.
    • I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
    • An FYI: To see how an opponent has done against another opponent since 2001- go to the game by clicking on one of the teams. Click the G beside the game. For example, Milan: The info will show you the previous matchups and other info.
    • All these college signees went yo other schools for 3 years, were getting college offers then transferred to Bearden. It’s not like this staff did much to develop them.    The BBall coaches son and the Seymour transfer were some of the most talented QBs in the region, and you guys developed them into QBs who might complete one pass a game.
