GCPioneer
Yeah that's what I had heard about Kiffin's recruiting opinion of TN HS players. Wonder why there's better talent in FL? Does TN spend too much time with tradition and not enough time in training? I honestly don't know why there are more athletes down in Florida. I know they have several nationally ranked football programs down there. I guess the coaching is better down there and football is life for those kids down there more so than it is here. That's the best explanation I can give. As for Williamson and Robinson, they're both AWESOME players!!! Kentucky will be getting 2 great players in Avery and Tyler. This is just a guess by me, but I'd bet that Avery gets moved to DE in college and Tyler will get moved do a DT if he plays defense at Kentucky. It's going to be tough to decide a Mr. Football between those two!
AlcoaPride2010
My point was that Avery is the best player in 3A. Of course that's an opinion. Rivals, Scout, and bulldawgs#1 share that opinion. That doesn't make us right and you wrong or vise versa. A 100+ yards rushing on 26 carries is good but not spectacular. You don't often(it was a record) see a kid get 22 tackles. Avery is leaning towards Kentucky so maybe he and Robinson will get to play together on that Cat defense. As for the 200+ statement, Alcoa and Milan have played one time and he wasn't close. Has he gotten that much better? However, we did just lose Christian Coleman(88) for the season. How about 250 yds and 6 tds against Maryville, one of the top 6a teams in the state? That spectacular enough for you?

Indian
He also said that beating Georgia was huge for recruiting purposes as alot of recruits come out of Georgia. He has said that the majority of the elite talent is out of state. He said Tennessee does not have that many "elite" players compared to other states. Tennessee has some great football players, but nothing compared to Florida, Texas, Mississippi etc... The quantity isn't as high but the quality of the elite prospects is. Put Randall Cobb and Golden Tate in orange and Crompton would look half-decent. D'onta Hightower would be the second-best player on Tennessee's defense. I'm pretty sure there will be Class A, AA and AAA selections, not picks by each playoff division. That may change some of the expected nominees and winners. theoldballcoachbaby
The Mr. Football awards are now class A (1A and 2A), class AA (3A and 4A), and class 3A (5A and 6A). So the competition will be a little tougher for each guy to win. IMO Jaron wins the back and its a toss up between Avery and Tyler.
alcoafan72
Again....You talk about one play out of 26 that our boy Quince (that's 15 for our non-Spanish speaking friends) had the ball in his hands. AW is probably the best 3A defensive lineman in the state, including T Rob. Yes he hit 15 hard on ONE play, but he didn't knock him out, nor did he stop him from putting up a C-note on your boys on the biggest stage. Too bad there is not a stat for shake-n-bakes....Maybe wee will get to see AW play again, if you can get past Goodpasture two years in a row. Good luck to ya and the Purple Pride nation. "Put up a C-note" priceless APB you are something special and so is that F5 Way to go Toney uh hmm I mean Quince (another good one) on track to break the state TD record

bulldawgs#1
Avery Williamson had 22 tackles against Crockett County, bringing him to 104 for the season. He also had another rushing TD. Gilbert had 197 yards on 22 carries for 3 TDs bringing him to 1204 yards and 24 scores. Gilbert scored his 76th career TD and went over 4000 yards. He was tied with Rod Smith before the game at 73. I think this makes him all time TD leader at Milan.
swingjuice
The Toney kid will probaly win, he' the pretty choice, playing for the MIGHTY ALCOA, but Gilbert will be a better college running back. If Avery Williams doesn't win, it's like 1997 all over again.
