That Camel was definitely Gloating and strutting almost as bad as all the Maryville folks after running the score up against Heritage !! :roflol:

 

Sorry for offending you so badly Bladerunner , us Maryville fans are pretty bad at being politically correct ...... we should realize there's some out there who have very sensitive feelings like you ....lol

I've been hearing, "this could be a good game Friday night, FHS could really give Maryville a run," this week. I just don't see it happening.

 

Also, I was extremely embarrassed for the program seeing the students with the rebel flags @ KCHS. I'm over that.

I hope those kids are able to continue to bring their flags.. We are losing freedom by the minute in this country.

Hope you are right on the game. I am a little worried. We better protect the ball - just like always in a big game. Plus, you know how those knox refs can affect the game with the laundry - lol.

 

"Extremely embarrassed"? It was fine for us adults to justify ringing up 69 pts on the kids down the street, but kids waiving a flag was embarrassing. :wacko: I like the tradition. Who knows, if we make it a tradition to beat hairtige by 60 every year, I might start liking that too. :thumb:

      RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.

      I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"

      Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
