3wiggle
I'll bet ya a milkshake that WB scored more on the Rebels than SC will? I would take some of that action
pepvol
I disagree. For years, Maryville played sub par William Blount and Heritage teams in non district games and said it was for "community" reasons. Sevier Co. would play Seymour for the same reason . A mute point now of course, but for years this occurred . Who is your team ?? So Maryville has been Skeered of Sevier Co. and ducking them ?? If they had made it far enough the last 2 years we would of gladly played them . Congrats to Sevier Co. for their big win against DB , and hopefully our young men can work up the courage to actually take the field next Friday

They are good enough without your help.
fsutandem
This should be a good game. These 2 teams have ducked from playing each other for years. Now, they meet. Let's get it on! Wish DB were here!! BwHahahHhahA! I dont think Maryville has ducked anyone. Maybe you are referring they have yet to meet due to SCHS early dissapearance in the playoffs. But I would personally love to see these two teams play every year. It'll make my Bears better I believe. But this will be a great game. Then again we all know GQ can coach them up. Might not be to close who knows but worth admission to watch. IMO I think SCHS will probably make some things happen throughout the game to make it competetive. 42-28 Maryvile like posted before. SCHS can throw and can throw very well. And they have 4 Wideouts that are actually very good to make a play. Problem is if Lavoi can find a gap to throw and make the right decision. Also if the defense plays the game of there life. If Lavoi and Defense does'nt take the challenge. Game Over in the first half.

RangerVol
Im hoping that there is a solid turnout Friday night. Do the Bears travel well, or will they be hibernating because of the cold? I was talking to a high school coach in west tn, and he said the only person who could beat Maryville is Maryville. Rebs-42 Bears-6. Rebels defense and offense just too strong, and are hitting their stride. Also, people need to shut up about ducking, the bears will get a full taste, not some jamboree. WELCOME TO THE BLACK HOLE!

bearsmom
Ranger, The Bears fans travel very will. You should have a packed house on the visitor side and we are very supportive. Also, the Bears have nothing but the uttmost respect for your team and your coach. He has even been a guest speaker for the Bears Sunday School class. During football season, we have a special class only for members of the Smoky Bears Football Team so they know him and respect him. As for all the talk about ducking, those comments are from our neighbor in Jefferson County and I assure you none of the Bears fans feel that way. We believe to be the best, you have to play the best and welcome the opportunity to meet you on the field. Have a good week of practice and we hope for an injury free, exciting game on Friday night. harley2004
This is surely a David and Goliath match up. There is no weakness in Maryville Armor, Coaches have been searching for weeks no one has found one, But was not everyone surprised when Davids stone found its mark and the giant fell. With SC no huddle, hurry up offense, and a QB that can run who knows it could happen.

Science Hill ran the no-huddle, hurry-up offense the entire game against Maryville last week and they have a very athletic looking QB that threw a nice ball. Not sure that is the stone SC wants to use. Although I will say WB was pretty success throwing the ball on Maryville secondary.

JungleJim125
Wow! DB was up 28-0 and let the Smoky Bears come back. I'll have to look up the last time these two played in a non jamboree game. Good job by the Bears to come back in ot to win. But that won't happen against Maryville. Good luck to both teams!
