First off I really want to get on here and rub it in but the reason I won't is because south Pitt. Is admitting they got beat by the overall better team and it's the truth. Wayne co. Is the best team in class 1a this year and it feels awesome. There is nothing sp can come up with that they should have won this game. Also I just want to say congrats to Rickyrice if there is any1 who deserves winning a state championship as a coach it is him. WAYNE COUNTY STATE CHAMPS!!!!!

Your crazy. Austin rice is better than Jacob tucker no ifs ands or buts about it. Don't get on here and run your mouth about that cause it's just silly. Love the support but comments like that aren't needed

I'm going to be honest here. Why did South Pittsburg throw the ball so much when they have 2 backs that have 3,000+ yards combined?

Honestly, the QB didn't look like he had great accuracy and sometimes would short arm some throws.

When I saw that one of their backs had over 2,000 yards by himself, I thought we'd be tested. It just seemed like South Pittsburg once we started to somewhat contain the edge, just reverted to throwing the ball instead of going with their bread and butter.

Some of us have wondered this all year.

I would say that because the corners were playing about 10 yards off the outside reciever in a cover 3 defense. They were just taking what Wayne county was giving them. They did the same thing against Gordonsville last week. They were probably hoping to get their athletes in space and let them make plays. Just a wild guess.

Dat burnit I haven't been on the ole T so long I forgot my username and password so I had to grab me another one fellars. Anyways, Congrats to Wayne County on the win and first state title. You guys just lined up in the veer and pounded it down our throats and made no bones about it. I'm just one of a handful of Pirate fans that will admit it but you guys just beat us point, blank, period. As for SP it looks like the ole ball coach cost us another one. I been around this valley for a long time and watched many a pirate games. Poor ole vic just hasn't won the majority of the games when the it comes down to coaching. In my opinion we were 12-0 against pitiful teams and 0-3 against the teams up to par with us. Back to the ole saying "There is always next year..........." :(

    • They will probably, struggle
    • Dyersburg is going to be good, really good. As mentioned, they have a lot of talent on the way and the trio of Chelby, Joya, and KayKay will only be better with a full season together under their belt. To me, playing in Murfreesboro two consecutive postseasons will only serve to make them more dangerous if/when they stand among the final eight teams this March. Experience, good or bad, always makes you better. And not only do they have experience, they know how to win there. Schedules are coming together for all of the teams and I am excited about what I am seeing on the preliminary drafts on Dyersburg’s schedule. I know I am being a tease, but it’s simply not my place to announce what another school is doing. With that said, I won’t go into specifics. However, I am excited about renewed home and away contracts for the non-district portion of the calendar. I think west Tennessee will have a lot of interest as well.
    • What does everyone have in the final 8? In no particular order. 1. Eagleville 2. Gordonsville 3. Greenback 4. Oakdale 5. South Pitt/ East Robertson-- not sure 6. Richland 7. Halls 8. Union City
    • They struggled to field a team last year. I don’t see them being much better?
    • sx good two know thay didun't waint that entarr citty two see yeller/red......
