Is that prediction with GQ pulling starters after Bearden puts in their 2s and 3s in the 2nd quarter? I just hope our boys can keep it respectable.

Maryville wins this one by a LOT. I was impressed with Bearden's win over Lenoir City, but the Bulldogs just don't have enough to keep this one close.

Maryville is playing very well right now, especially with the return of John Garrett at corner. Defense looked shaky in the first few games but looked strong as of late against Oak Ridge, probably the 2nd best 6A team in East Tennessee. On the offensive side of the ball Shawn Prevo is having a heck of a season. Nick Myers is hitting his stride and TJ Kimble has proved to be a valuable asset to the pass attack of the Rebels. All in all I see the Rebels winning big over Bearden on the hill this Friday. All I have to say is watch out Tennessee, the Rebels are real.

Based on the things I have seen so far..Bearden has as much or more talent than Maryville..however, the Rebels have superior coaching, scheme and are a lot more disciplined and make far fewer mistakes..I pull for the dogs but if we could stay within 2 scores I will be amazed. Maryville by 28. Ok Dawgs, prove me wrong! Woof Woof!

 

Maryville may not have anyone like Patton Robinette or Jay Guilermo but they have some darn good players. Their only D1 player is a sophomore named Dylan Jackson.Prevo has a chance to be a low D1 or D2 player. I think Logan Winders,Trenton Shuler and TJ Kimble will play somewhere.

I know the Shuler boy is getting recruited by SEVERAL D-1aa schools....And Winders is getting D-1aa looks as well....Not sure about T.J and have not heard about Jackson either..

I need to start hanging out in Maryville threads more often. There's always talks of good old school rasslin in them. Thats what I like!

 

Also, I dont understand why anyone still picks, well anybody, to beat Maryville. I heard the stat the other day that the last team not named Alcoa to beat Maryville in the regular season was Morristown West........in 2002!! If ever there's a lock on a team, just put all your chips on Maryville.

You are correct that it was Morristown West but the date Sept 14, 2001.
