You are exactly right, Sweet! You guys had some outstanding teams during Coach Gray's tenure at Oak Ridge. I'm sure your guys would have run through a brick wall for Ron if he had told him to.

Yessir, we did. He was on Coach Bruce Lussier's staff. Very good staff @ the time. I think Bruce would still be @ OR if his son hadn't of come down with an illness, which took him to the Nashville area to coach. I don't care what any Father Ryan fan says about Coach Lussier, he is a dang good coach and man for that matter. It's kinda tough to won @ Father Ryan right now, imo.

I can't argue with that at all! I didn't know about Coach Lussier's son and his illness, that is sad to hear. It's not an easy situation that he is in at Father Ryan at the moment. It would be a mistake for them to replace him, in my opinion.

Yes, his son came down with a form of cancer, and he went to be with his son, Chad whom i graduated with. I played under Lussier...Tough man to play for and all business, but he is a good man. I was reading some posts about him by the Father Ryan faithful on the privates section of the board and they are very down on him. Quarles would have a tough time winning there right now. Their is no talent. Trust me, if their was he would be maximizing it to the fullest.

My sister's husband's brother said he saw John Gruden at the Weigals across from Catholic.

Honest mistake. Gruden isn't interested in the Catholic job ... he just likes those "2 for $1.49" corndogs. I'm hearing that Steve Fickert (another former WB coach) and Charles "Cookie" Frye (Maryville / Alcoa connections) are on the short list.
