Sounds like maybe everyone but Mitchell and TCA should just give up in the west. But there is a Huntingdon team that might have something to say about that. Mustang defense is very tough this year and always plays up outside of district.(Martin Westview, Milan, Camden) Oh, and the district ain't that bad either.

I'd say Mitchell and Huntingdog are the top 2 in the west...i don't believe TCA or Aville can handle either one...guess we'll find out sooner or later...

 

ps...look at Mitchell schedule and you'll see that they play up too...even higher than you guys do.

I did check out their schedule. The only team that they play all season with less than 2 losses and 1 win at this point is Whitehaven. I know Whitehaven is a great team, but the other teams that they play, have lost to some teams that are not that impressive. I know it's very early, and a lot can happen from here on out. Huntingdon is a strong horse (Mustang) in this race ... but hearing a lot from Grace.  West TN squads have a strong line/running game vs. the East with passing.  Should setup for a great matchup ... running vs. passing.  Didn't work out too well for Adamsville last year.

uFCa has proven 2 things the last 2 years.

 

 

1. The best team in the west would have finished 3rd or 4th in region 4 the last 2 seasons.

 

2. The west has lost 78-7 the last 2 championships...they sukk!!!

Yeah, but there's some new players in town this year.  Mitchell will be tough and Huntingdon would have given uFCA and the other teams in district 4 a tough game and had the ability to beat them as proved in their showing against Gordonsville.  I am not saying they were better, but they were the whole cake and not just a cupcake like past teams that made the 2A title game. 

 

And for my West counterparts that will be upset about my cupcake remark.... you were compared to the teams you played in the championship.  Milan was in 3A....... its just the plain and simple truth.  Sorry!!!

We are good but how good is hard to judge. We lost to a very good Whitehaven team and a good Central team. I don't think any 2A team would beat them. Our league is so weak so we do score a lot of points in the first half but the second half is always a running clock.Tonigh 51 vs BTW and 48 vs KIPP last week. I think our game next week (Southaven) will be a measuring stick for us.

      I have no issues with the Karns Middle School program.   Good coaches and he's with the kids he goes to school with.  He's a rising 6th grader who had to play with 6th grade kids last year because Karns didn't have enough kids for a 5th grade age team.  He's in a good place at this point.   My daughter is a single mom with 4 kids under 11 years old.  We help her out with logistics, so staying in our own area right now is important.  Once he gets to high school age, who knows what happens?  That bridge will be crossed when we get there.

      I know he was a backup but I thought he filled in well when the starter went down. Never a bad thing to have a change of pace back

      That would be a good get for them. Lowe always finds a way. Pretty sure they have their Rb from last year returning but not that line of beef

      One school has said it, it was York…who Oneida and many school that played them before we did claimed that they were the dirtiest bunch they’ve played. Riverside didn’t call us dirty nor did smith after they beat us. Ur only dirty if your the one giving out the whoopins.

      If it was anyone but #8 I would agree with you. Theirs a couple people on that team that probably would. Not him. And I who was standing on the 1st base line fence saw clearly that the boys foot was covering more than half the bag.
