Lol nice.

Haha just messing with the DB guys a little bit. But all joking aside I think we have a better chance to compete in that 6A region. It seems like the East Tn 5A teams are tougher from top to bottom right now.Of course we won't be finishing #1 in the region anytime soon since maryville is in there but we can compete with and beat the rest of the teams in the region. Here is a good article on it all. 91 I don't know if y'all elected to stay up or go to 5A, but if you went to 5A then it looks like y'all would be back in our district. http://tricitiessports.com/maryville-opts-for-class-a-football-alcoa-choses-a-p72769-116.htm

His prospective alignment for Campbell County is just crazy. Those kids wouldn't be getting back to the school much less home until between midnight and 1 am on most nights after away games! CC isn't a wealthy area either. That kind of travel would kill the budget. Every TSSAA employee should be fired if that happens. Surely they have more sense than that!? Yeah, who am I kidding? CC is not close to upper East Tennessee!

So now it is looking more and more like Maryville is going to stay in 5A, very interesting. I thought the whole reason the TSSAA was allowing teams to move into the Super 32 was soley because of Maryville. Now it looks like this whole mess of trying to figure everything out was for nothing, atleast as far as the Super 32 in concerned. Interesting that Maryville and the great George Quarles don't want to play the biggest and the best in the state. I guess nothing is set in stone yet, but looks like they are staying in 5A.

..... so the " Great George Quarles Don't want to play the Biggest and the Best in the State " was meant as a Compliment ??? Ya right Admiral ....

    • I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"
    • TSSAA will let them all go to Mase.
    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
    • I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
