Maybe the TSSAA already knows and is withholding the info to prevent mass exodus from which ever way Maryville and Alcoa go.

 

So glad my team is firm no matter which way or who goes where!

GQ is a very smart and insightful man.  I can understand his initial enthusiasm to want to be in the state's highest class, the "Super 32".  However, on closer analysis, there is really no good reason to move up and some really good arguments for staying in 5A.

 

If Maryville moves up, I can't believe it was GQ's decision.

That surprises me to some extent.  Looks like they would have better competition and natural rivalries in 3A.

 

The only reason I can see for Alcoa to stay in 2A and Maryville to move up to 6A is to prove the absurdity of this new plan, so the T$$AA might scrap it after two years.
