Every public school zone has an "out" and and "in" to transfer ewen schools.

You know this, Troll.

Evidently, in Hamilton County you just cannot cross three school zones to get to where you want to be.

The kid that cost Signal could have went to three or four other schools and been fine. In the Knox area, one baseball power school has initiated a Russian language program that other schools in the area do not have, so we will soon have a bunch of West end baseball players giving signs in Cyrillic.

The devil is always in the details.  Most school districts will allow student to request a hardship to attend a school for which they are not zoned.  Those "hardships" may or may not be easy to obtain.  Even then, those shifts only can occur within the district.  Most county school districts will not let students from outside the county attend for tax revenue reasons.

The city school districts with good football teams seem to have much more lenient policies regarding students coming in from outside the district.  Just wait until Signal Mountain pulls out of the Hamilton County Department of Education and forms the Signal Mountain/Walden City School District. I'm gonna volunteer to be the OZ bus driver.  redthumb.gif

Look, in Blount Co. We have girls basketball players living in the cities of Maryville and Alcoa attending Heritage and having to pay nothing.

But it is girls basketball and no one really cares.

I don't, anyway.

So, APB, what's your take on Dave Hart dropping the "Lady" from the Lady Vols in every sport except for womens basketball?  We'd all like to know where you stand on it.   :popcorneater:

And you don't even have to take Russian languages class just be interested in it. They probably just take bp and long toss during class....

So, when did we stop playing them? I know we didn't play when I was in school 1992 to 1995..

It wasn't that big of a deal...Is it all because of Second Harvest now???

Im sure CRB at CAK would be willing to partner with Knox Webb and support Second Harvest. That would be something any school should be able to get behind.
