at least you admit it now that's a step

Feller, you need to start reading the funny papers more. Old Pirate says it is a rare thing for the Pirates to get any players after they start high school. Fact is the Pirates have lost far more than got. That is generally caused by the skillet slinger moms. Course there are generally some chatter every year but seldom happens. Come to think of it, only three come to mind in the last 30 years. Edited by OLD PIRATE

Did anyone ever clarify if the quarterback coming from NJ a couple of years ago changed homes or just changed schools, regardless of whether the home was on this side of the line? I saw that brought up once, answered with jokes and then deleted. One comment since deleted said something to the effect of if the TSSAA ruled him eligible it did not matter-which is true-but it didnt really answer things.

    • You wanna talk about zoned for Bearden.  Lol.  I don't think so.  But my point was who can blame a kid for not wanting to be in a private school.  Nobody is zoned for a private school, it's a free country right?
    • Great win for the Pirates. State Tourney bound !
    • You're talking about the running back, right? I don’t believe he was zoned for west, but there were numerous players that came from TKA a few years ago and still are. I’m sure some are, but the majority aren’t.
    • Gratitude abounds for Blake Satterfield, whose five-year tenure as the head coach and exemplary ambassador for Trousdale County and its educational system has left an indelible mark. His strategic leadership during playoff seasons was nothing short of remarkable. Anticipating that his future endeavors will be equally impressive.  Perhaps the board members will refrain from undermining the incoming coach as they did in Blake's case.
    • Yeah that's true, I was talking more about football.  If you go to a TKA game, there's nobody there.  The only people there are the parents of cheer and parents of players.    The kid that left and came to West was zoned for West and decided to quit private and go public school.  He won two state championships at West, so hard to blame him there.
