The 2005 group was 24-2 the two years before Stevens. Whole lot different than 12-10 before Gaddis.

Yep. OR was in a bad spot before Gaddis took over in '88. Even though the '87 team went 8-4 they literally got obliterated by Jeff County 51-0 in the playoffs. Probably the worst loss in OR history. That was a great Jeff Co team mind you, but whew 51-0 is baaaad. Gaddis turned it around very quickly. Stanton inherited a program led by Bruce Lussier that had had a ton of success the previous years before he became HC.

I had forgotten about the 51-0 obliteration. Don't remind me!

Ok, so math isn't my strong suit. Lol. But the great class that you talk about was a dismal 12-10 and Gaddis comes in and wins as many games in I year as this great group won in two years combined. Once again I'll say that say what you want in support of Stevens but you look silly comparing him to Gaddis

Just curious as to how many state titles that Coach Gaddis actually has?? Overall?? I'm too lazy to look it up

Lussier is at a private school now. I met him some time ago. But seen him in Nashville recently.  He has a couple of players that are suppose to be pretty darn good. Always a very polite man.  Is William Blount 5A? Do you think Shadowens will be able to keep kids and bring a few over in Blount County?
